CHRISTMAS IN PARIS | Our First Christmas in Paris | Christmas Markets, Sights & Lights
We just moved from the US to France on November 7th and we are spending the next year traveling to different parts of France to decide where we want to ultimately live full-time. Paris is #1 on our list. We spent our first month in Paris and we just moved to Versailles until February so that we would have enough space for our son to visit from grad school for his winter break. This video features our Christmas adventures in France exploring 2 Christmas markets and some of the beautiful light displays throughout the city of Paris. We hope you enjoy!

I want to share with how God has Blessed a young homeless street musician. Since the pandemic & because of my health we have been a part of a online church. Our pastor has been invited many times to attend White House functions & play his Saxophone. A few months ago a couple from the church were visiting Jacksonville Fl & stopped to listen to a young Black man playing his saxophone & told him about their Pastor & suggested he come to Gainesville Ga to play at their church. He moved to Gainesville & has now played many times. Recently our Pastor was invited to play his Sax for Martin Luther King Day at Ebeneezer Baptist Church ( with the President) . Our Pastor was not available,so he suggested the young man was available. A young homeless street musician will be playing for a Presidential Function in a matter of 3-4 months! God is good! I love to see you travels in France! Paris appears to be a magical place to be especially at Christmas time! All I know about France is my maiden name is Correll, but my ancestors are “Coryell” from approximately 90 miles South of Paris. I also have a Davis uncle buried in France from WW 11. Ah, charcuterie cups! KJ did need a hat because her other new headgear was a cap. She needed more coverage to help keep her warm! It jars me when you refer to malls. I looked up Westfield Mall and found out that it is the renovated old Les Halles market, pronounced Lehzall. Parisians probably still call it that.

Yet, when you ride down the elevator there is a huge sign that states "Westfield Mall" I laughed when I first saw it because our mall back in Boca Raton where we used to live is called "Boca Raton Mall" but it is technically a Westfield Mall.

Love your videos! I got a chance to visit Paris in 2013 at Christmas time. I so enjoyed it. I did a lot of the touristy things (visiting the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre). If you get a chance get tickets to the Moulin Rouge dinner show. It was a lot of fun. I want to go back and see more of France. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

You may already be aware of this but if you are planning to travel some distance by train, SNCF offers an Avantage senior card with 30% discount on travel. Hi Gaby - We don't have French health insurance yet. You have to wait until you are here 90 days before you can apply. We have been here 2 months. We will keep you posted.
