Thank you so much for this. I left Glos for the Far East almost 50 years ago - Christmas is the one time of year I really miss!

Thank you Don! Lovely to hear from you again at Christmastime. Yes, it took a fair bit of work sourcing some copyright free music to use in this as you can imagine. Hope you and your family have a really lovely Christmas. God Bless You, Paul

Hi Paul, A real step into Christmas!! Really well presented and accompanied with some Christmas favourites. Some superb photography👌👌 Sounded a very busy afternoon in Bourton, well done for braving the crowds!! In the end we will be spending Christmas here this year, a last minute change due to ill health on several fronts plus I have my pre-op in a couple of days and can't risk catching the flu that is spreading amongst us. Worst of all it will leave Mum in hospital over Christmas, she is just starting to show signs of recovery which is good news. On the plus side I'm able to make virtual visits to her bedside each day and I get to eat the grapes that I bring her!! Have a wonderful time, all the best!!

Thank you so much David! Glad you enjoyed it. I hope you have a really fantastic Christmas, despite it being at home. So sorry to hear about the health problems though. Thank you for your lovely comments too throughout the year. Merry Christmas! Paul

This was superb and very cosy viewing Paul as I ate my TV dinner on Christmas Eve. I really enjoyed the music and the very festive footage of such a gorgeous place! ‘Professional KZbinrs’ - I would definitely put you in that category. Your attention to detail and all the work that I know you put into your videos definitely qualify you for that title too! Happy Christmas! Louise

Ah, your too kind Louise! Glad you enjoyed the video. The weather and lighting conditions had to be 'just right' to make this video - I needed a clear sky - and thankfully the forecast was 100% spot on, as just before it was getting dark, the clouds moved away to reveal a lovely moon and stars. A Very Happy Christmas to you too! Paul

Enjoyed watching your Christmas video, really lovely. I have driven through stow many times when visiting relatives in Worcestershire but never have time to stop so it was nice to see, especially with the Xmas decorations. 🎄🙂

Thank you Caroline! Yes, Stow is well worth stopping off at - does get busy though at times. There is a free car park next to Tesco in the town. Yes, Worcestershire border is only a very short distance from there along the A44 road. Great to hear from you. Take care, Paul

A lovely Christmassy video Paul. I just wish these two lovely little places were a bit closer as I would of loved to of gone out filming at night like you did. You got some fantastic shots of the old houses. Have a great Christmas Paul. 😊😊

Thank you so much Martin! Yes, I had to delay filming this one as the conditions needed to be just right for the lighting conditions. As you know, the weather has not been kind to us KZbinrs of late! I have now found a new route from where I live, to this part of the Cotswolds from where I am a bit futher to the south, which avoids both the M5 and the Cirencester routes. I am fortunate in that it didn't take long to get here from where I live (about an hour) - free car parking in the car park in Stow next to Tesco too! Yes, it is a bit further away from the Bristol & Bath areas though. Hope you have truly great Christmas too! Paul

Hi Paul, have really enjoyed this video as I was in Stow and Bourton earlier this year whilst walking the Oxfordshire Way, so it’s been a lovely reminder of a good walk and some stunning scenery. I hope to be retuning next year to walk the Evenlode Way ( the planning for which is where I discovered your brilliant channel). Seasons greetings. 🎄🎄🎄

Thank you so much Liz! Great to know that my little channel has been a source of inspiration for your own adventure wanders in the Cotswolds. I hope to film another walk in the Cotswolds very soon. Hope you have a great Christmas. Paul.

Thank you Diana! And you too! The hardest thing about this video was the music. The first version was copyright protected because of one of the versions of Carol of the Bells that I used. That version (choral) in this video is from a school choir in the Cotswolds. I enjoyed walking around there during the photographic 'golden hour' and one of the very few evenings I could have done that recently (needed to be a clear day and night to get the best of the light and see the moon 🌙 and stars). Glad you enjoyed it. Merry Christmas! Paul

Lovely Christmas Vlog Paul! was just wondering if the American base is still up there near Stow? i used to fit Flooring on that base. anyway Merry Christmas Darren👍👍👍
@westcountrywanderings19 күн бұрын
Thank you Darren! Merry Christmas to you too! Yes, there is a base near Stow on the Wold called RAF Little Rissington, which was where the Red Arrows were based. It was part of the United States Air Forces in Europe, from 1981 to 1994, when the whole USAFE base closed. Think it was a contigency hospital. Now it is a RAF training airfield, I think. Hope you are having an enjoyable day! Paul
