Stopped video a second bc I may forget after you have utterly impressed me by the end of this video 😉💕: I recently purchased the Recollections corner covers, and I have ruined two already bc I don’t know how to make them fold correctly. Maybe my Artist Loft sketchbook’s covers are too thin. I haven’t invested in the Tim Holtz set bc I don’t see much functional difference for a casual “lemme try this” crafter. I do wish these cool items came with tips or instructions for dummies like me. Okay, back to your video!!!! 😎

Hiya Daisycutter! Lol you're so funny! I would do the same thing! I'll have to check my Michael's to see if there are any there. And I was mentioning to Melanie on here, I think it may have to do with the book being covered in fabric. It's not terrible, terrible, but you know. PinkOddBird, I love Tim Holtz, too! 💖 I was in the store one day, picked up an item, then got the idea to dress up the cover that evening. Everything on sale was an extra -20 or -25%, and the store brand was half off already. I used my coupon on the Tim Holtz cover plaque set. 😉 I just don’t know what I’m doing, so the store brand was a better deal bc as a newbie, I was bound to destroy a few. That’s great you found out about the fabric issue. 👍🏻 I don’t know how to get mine to secure correctly, like which tool and which side is bent down first. Maybe what I bought only fits thicker book covers? Anyway, I have eight more in the package so I can try again sometime. I just think they’d look cool on my teacher edition textbooks. 😎 I ended up using swirly metal photograph holders glued down instead of the book corners in regard to my original project. I’m so very glad you ladies figured out your corner issue! Happy Halloween!!! 🎃🦇☠️👹👀

I use my corner chomper and round the corners of the cover before I add the metal corners. Perfect result every time. Love the journal 😊

I have found if you cut off a small amount of the corner of your journal cover before attaching the corners they will sit more flush. It takes a little practice . Good luck !

Cute! I don't have a lot of Christmas stamps either but heart, star, and snowflake stamps (and punches) along with a lot of word stamps and food image/word stamps work well. Like how you have combined a lot of different types of paper and new along with old. TFS

I had the same issue the first time I used the corners and had to rip them off...didn't like it, now I glue the top of the corner on first where I want it to be ~ flush with the book ~ then after its dry I bend the edges around and haven't had the issue since ~ hope this helps (not very good at giving explanations). Love all your journals..

Ooh! That place mat is gorgeous, love how it looks with the metal pieces, gorgeous inside too! 😍 I have some metal corners like yours and I have the same problem, they never look flush with the book either, I just use a bit of hot glue to make sure they are fixed securely TFS 💖💖

Thank you for Melanie! I am starting to think that it's because of the fabric. I didn't realize until yesterday I was sitting at my couch and I looked down, the second mini album I ever made, I used the same book Corners, but they are flush totally. But the book is just chipboard, not fabric. So I think maybe that's why? Curious things we learn! Thanks for swinging by! XoXo
