Beautiful, Barbie! Our thanksgiving is now just my husband, Jimmy, and my boys. Both of our parents are gone. I do the turkey and cornbread dressing. I make Jimmy’s mom’s candied sweet potatoes. I make homemade Mac n’ cheese and homemade rolls. I also have some kind of vegetable like peas or butter beans. I usually make pecan pies and the boys will pick out a dessert that they want me to make. Now I’m hungry. 😂😂😂😊❤️

@susangazawaypapercrafting3749 You got my stomach grumbling as well, Susan. It all sounds so yummy. Do you make the cornbread first and then create the stuffing? Is that in place of bread? My favorite part of the meal is the stuffing ....... omgosh, covered in gravy ........ yum yum yum. I love it cold the next day with a turkey sandwich. Do you stuff your bird or cook the dressing on the side? I sutff my bird ....... if I could could a 30 lb bird, just for more stuffing I would. 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks for sharing .... I'm also curious, so one more question ....... is your dinner based on what your mom cooked? Mine is, all my fixings are what I grew up with. Hugs, gf and we're almost at that table! 🤎🤎🤎🦃

This journal is coming along nicely! I'm loving all the frills and eyelets. For the first time in 4 years, our oldest daughter and her family will be here for Thanksgiving. Our other daughter and family live right next door! The girls have put their heads together and planned the meal, taking all that planning and prep out of my hands. I will do the turkey, dressing, (we're in the south--we don't do stuffing) and the obligitory giblet gravy. I may sneak in a pie or two. ;) So, I'm all set for a great holiday with both girls, their hubs, and all 9 grandchildren. xoxo

You are certainly outdoing yourself with this journal! The waterfall is a great addition and that lace flip is perfect! I’m already having anxiety abt Thanksgiving with 15 guests, all family but still I want it to be nice. Everyone brings something so the cooking’s not that bad. It’s the kids Barbie….. seven of them from 15 - 2 the chaos is exhausting 😂I pray for a nice day so they can go outside for a bit. ❤

@itearpaper Come to my house, Christine and just relax. Fifteen is a lot and I'd be anxious as well. I hope you have a big backyard or large basement you can put all those kids in. 🤣🤣🤣 If it's nice out, have them do a turkkey scavenger hunt. That will keep them busy for sure. I remember the boys had a birthday party one year, 3rd grade, and they wanted to invite both classes ....... 40 kids 😱 I told them they could, however, it would be outside, in the carriage house (before it was finished and liveable) and we woud have a SURVIVOR style party. Boy did that keep them busy and warm. Their birthdays are in January 🤣🤣 it was tons of fun and I didn't have to worry about my house being trashed. The other catch was, NO presents. Only monitary gifts and then we donated all the cash to Hole in the Woods, a special summer camp for disabled children. YOU got this girl, and make sure the older kids take care of and watch the younger ones. Let me know how it all goes. xoxo TFW

@ wow! That sounded like a great party! I’m working on the scavenger hunt, we did one at Easter and it was a big hit. I have a large 4 season porch with a fireplace and they usually hang out there. It will be fine, and everyone does help. I’ll relax the rest of the weekend cause they all go home 😂❤️

I am so loving your Xmas Journal, so many pretty things and your creativity is off the charts. I here ya about the Pizza place story, I am forever saying to my hubby - don't let me buy anything else from a certain place - and then I forget and we try it again, and it's awful. Sadly, we don't have Thanksgiving in this country, you will probably have had yours by the time I post this and I hope you had a great time. I also here ya regarding not wanting to leave hubby on his own for a long time I would be exactly the same with mine. They say time is a great healer but I'm not so sure about that, I feel we worry more about each other as we get older, it's not easy to brush off the spills in life as we advance in years. Our family had a wonderful Thanksgiving, with so much to be thankful for. I agree, they say time heals all wounds, but I'm not sure about this one with hubby. We visit his doctor on December 5 and we have lots of questions. Hubby is so afraid this can happen again, even with the pacemaker. As I age, I feel anxious about time, time I won't get all I want to accomplish for my children before something happens to me. I guess I just need to plan better. You are a joy for me and I am thankful for you each time I post a video. I so adore all you share with me and your words. You take care as well and I'm sending warm hugs and love your way. xoxo

Beautiful journal Barbie. Your DIL is going to love it. Thanksgiving is usually with my brother and his family. This year will be a little different as it sometimes is.. I like to make sweet potato pie for Thanksgiving. My all time fav! My hubs and brother are really the only other ones that like it. Have a wonderful week. TFS

Hey, Pam 💞 I've always wanted to try sweet potato pie but have yet done so. Desserts are always tough in this house, we all love pie except for Patrick. He does not like any pie and I usually end up making some sort of cake for him. Love your sequined shaker pocket. I love the shakers on cards etc. I'm just not good at adhering them. But I've tried. I made a Christmas j.j. for my granddaughter last year. Made it early to ship it out to her. Tx. Anyway, she like pink, so I did a pink Christmas with a pullout shopping list, she loves to bake, so I found really cute charms with spatulas, a mixer, in pink, and I made pages that I titled " a special memory, and left space for a pic, and i received this for Christmas, and i doodled a picture frame. And lots of room for more pics on a page of I made this for desserts. And pockets and whatnot. I never get to see her or my grandson. So I try to make up by doing special things for them. Especially homemade, last year I made her a Alice in wonderland little golden book j. J. And, a spider man homemade comic book j.j. for my grandson. Besides of course sending them the gift cards. 😂

I love it when photos are added to journals, photos tell the story and sometimes its easier to jot a note and not fill an entire page with a story. You are definitely busy with journals ....... how lovely! How old is your grandson? Does he use the journals? I'd love to know. I just wish you could be there when they open their gifts. I do not like gift cards at all. I tried giving a couple to my boys in their stockings and they didn't care for them. I liked that, they like a gift, even if it's small. TFS ........ Well he's 23 and no he just looked at it he said and commented on how creative I was. I knew he was a spiderman fan, I made it look more like a comic book style I had purchased Spidey books and tore them apart. I feel you can make the guys something for them too. And still keep it masculine. He said it's on his wall. I'm very technically challenged. So Im not sure how to load pics. I do know how to text, email and that's about it😢

Well, it's me again, our five son's are everywhere, we're in so. California, it's in the high desert area a naval weapons base is here. And, one son is in Vancouver B.C. with his wife, one son and his wife are in Baltimore, MD. One son and my two grandchildren ( who are smack dab between the ages of my two youngest) are in so easy TX. All of my family is in TX. My two youngest are with us but living away in Irvine CA at the university. So it'll be really quiet and we'll just have probably what we do for last ten years salmon, and sides. When the big boys came home last year, we had a very healthy pecans pie,sweetened with monk fruit Sweetner. And believe or not it was delicious. But I've been down with extreme sciatica, so severe I can barely walk. I did go asap to see my Dr. It's slowly but surely getting better. I hadn't touched one magazine images. And today I decided to catch up on your videos. So very glad I did, you always inspire make people feel at home, it's just such a blessing watching you share your talents with us. Thank you. And, I know this will be a very special thanksgiving for you and yours. Continued good health for your hubby. I know I'll be contacting you again. With all my guys, it's good to have some girl talk.

Oh, my! Your loved ones are definitely here and there, more there than here, though. I'm sure the phone lines will be busy and lots of "I love you"(s) throughout those calls. I am so sorry to hear about your sciatica ..... OUCH, I know how painful that is and hang in there. Rest up and listen to doctors orders. There is nothing worse than having back issues. Thank you for catching up, I am so pleased and honored you'd spend that much time with me. I agree, this Thanksgiving will be wonderful and I have so much to be thankful for, as well as hubby. We look at each other and tell each other how lucky we are, things could be so different. We are all looking forward to meeting Patrick's new girlfriend, and it'll be a wonderful week, having her here with us. You take it easy and I'm happy you were able to get some 'girl' time in.
