Straight avocado as the green layer (no mayo), some chipotles in adobo mixed into the cranberries (no mayo), chicken layer as is, lighten up the "frosting" with a bit of cream (less mayo?) and beat until fluffy. Garnish with chives or chopped parsley. Merry Christmas Barry! Thanks for all of the work that you put into this channel! 🎄🥪🎄

I nominate this for next year's Christmas sandwich. It sounds interesting, fun and more Christmassy (at least regarding color) and next Christmas it'll be a year old, and therefore, a sandwich of history! 😁

Merry Christmas, Barry! Clearly this "needs" some 50s Jello salad--something with shredded carrots and tiny marshmallows, I think--to accompany it. Served with either a martini or an old fashioned to drink. Probably skip the Chesterfields after. :D I am very happy to have just recently stumbled across your channel (and have subscribed), thanks for showing us all these sandwiches. Some are even sparking memories of my 60s childhood--kind of a mixed bag but mostly fun!

1. That green layer needs help. Maybe some hatch green chili would be a great addition. 2. I like the idea of the dried chili powder dusting, but that's only adding red to the outside. Maybe red and green chili powder would be more thematic!

The green layer should be mashed avocados with pimientos and the red layer should be cranberries and capers... Plus it up with some crumbled sour cream and onion potato chips

All those layers of bread, I feel like there was a missed opportunity to use the bread slicer. Then again, I know you like to stick to the recipe as much as possible. It's a very interesting combination for sure. Merry Christmas and thanks for all that you do!

Sounds worth a try! If you like the chipotle-cranberry combo, cranberry sauce is really good with chipotle added and served with pork or poultry.

Funny you say that, as my cousin made a chipotle and cranberry sauce to accompany the smoked wild turkey and quail we had for Christmas dinner! He combined a can each of the smooth cranberry sauce, chunky cranberry sauce, and whole chipotle peppers in adobo sauce in the food processor, and it was absolutely delicious!

Here’s a sandwich I made for my family a few days ago. It’s my “Open Faced Layered Sandwich.” I put a thin layer of butter on a slice of French Bread. Then I started layering. First a layer of anchovies, then a layer of finely diced onions, a layer of chunky peanut butter, a layer of very thin raw potato slices, raspberry jam, potted meat, seasoned ground beef, salt and pepper. Finally, I put a scoop of strawberry ice cream on top. Because of the sandwich my family kicked me out of the house and I’m living in a cheap motel right outside the city limits. I tried giving it to my cat but she hissed at me. I guess I shouldn’t have dropped acid before making it… I just started watching these videos and I really enjoy them.
