This is the First yr as an adult to hat I truly loved Christmas. I gave my life to the Lord this yr and joined a wonderful church and was Baptized for the first time in my life. My parents have both passed away and that was my biggest struggle because they loved Christmas so much. But I have learned the true meaning of Christmas and more. I always felt alone. I promise with God you are not alone and never will be. God Bless Everyone and Happy New Year.

It’s very difficult to celebrate since my daughter died. This is the second Christmas without her. I can’t enjoy the holiday even with my grandchildren. The pain is overwhelming. Through the grace of God, I know I will see her again. My grief counselor is amazed that my faith has strengthened through my grief.

I get depressed around the holidays since my husband passed 6 years ago. He loved the dinners we used to go to. Thanksgiving and Christmas. Our Christmas tradition was to open one gift each Christmas eve. Every single day that we were together he needed coffee to get him going but Christmas morning he wanted to open gifts before coffee. He grew up very poor, youngest of 10 and got nothing most Christmasses. I wanted to make Christmas special for him so I went all out with gifts for him. He said every year that I bought him more presents than he bought me and he felt bad. I told him I was making up for his childhood. I miss him so much that I haven’t put up our tree or decorated my apartment. I threw the tree out this year and I’m making a very large sized Christmas tree in diamond art painting. Santa brought me covid this year and I couldn’t taste the dinner my son made:( We’ll make it again when I get my sense of taste back. Merry belated Christmas to you and your family

It's very hard when you have lost such a special person in your life. The memories that you had together is something so very special. It's easy for others to say, but try in time to share those special times with family. something that you will never forget and they can pass on. Like the one day a year he wants to go without his coffee! That even touched my heart. I love the am so glad you are making a new tree. Bet it will be so pretty! I am sorry you got Covid. My brother got it. If you catch it in time they have meds. now that will help it if you catch it in the first few days. My Brother has open heart surgery Jan 2nd, and he got Covid! The meds. did get rid of it as he cought it in time. I haven't been able to go see him as the snow storms have been so bad here in the north east U.S. Sending healing prayers for you, it will take time. Love from Western, N.Y.

We do the same tradition, we go to the in-laws on Christmas Eve, we eat a meal, which changes each year, this year was finger foods, then after eating and before the opening of gifts, someone in the family reads the Christmas story from the Bible, this year, it was my 9 yo grandson, then we open gifts. All the kids in my family aren't little, they're pre-teens, teens, or in there twenties. Hope you and your family had a great Christmas, and have a very blessed New Year!

My favorite Christmas Eve tradition is listening to and singing The Messiah by Handel. I first sang it with the San Diego State University choir when I was in 10th grade, and now, over 50 years later, I still find a way to do it. I almost have it memorized...Haha. I even sang with the Anchorage choral group when I was up in Alaska in 2019. Blessed memories and blessed truth when God's word is put to age-old music. Thanks for all you do!

I spent my Christmas alone but seeing your family celebrating and having fun makes me happy. I am alone cause I choosed it but I also made mistakes in the past not listening to God; yes I am financially blessed (retired deputy sheriff & military reserves), but it does not bring joy or happiness. God does, but its always a tug a war with me and Him. Also, I can see joy in your family cause of the love you have for each other. I really never had a normal childhood so your family would have been my dream family. God Bless You Guys, and thank you for sharing your life!

A part of me died when my grandma lost her battle with cancer in 2005 and my beloved cat Fiesta in 2020. The holidays are not the same. I try to push through but there are some days I just can't and I just cry. I really miss them both. And yes pet loss is grief too. Fiesta, she was my everything. She taught me unconditional love and now I get to pass that on too her brother Brodie.

Such a great thing the bus with these kids. Crying while writing. It's been a rough season. In last 4 months it's been so much deaths in our family. Hearts are breaking but for my grandson we push through. Young age of 8 he lost a lot this year. So for Christmas we done everything to give him the best. He asked to see my sister that we lost recently. He loved going to her place. It's a huge farm on the old homestead where we were raised. So grave yard just down the road. We visited and talked about her. At home talked about his aunt's that have past. Grandparents and daddy Gary and our pastor wife ( very unexpected) but with God and family and friends we are going to make it. Great video. Prayers to all and hugs to all. ❤😢

Merry Christmas to all of you! I hope it was special. On Christmas Eve, we place baby Jesus in the manger, our little ones make birthday cards, we sing happy birthday to Him, and that happens following the reading of Luke 2. Before bed, cookies and egg nog are put out for Santa and carrots for the reindeer. We do go outside and sprinkle oats and glitter to help guide the reindeer to our house. Traditions are so important for our children. ❤🎄

I have a hard time at Christmas. My dad passed away on Christmas Eve yrs ago, I'm finally moving into a HUD apt and almost everyone has something around the entry of their door, so I decorated a little, too. This was the first time since my mom passed away in 2012 at the age of 93. Yep, I'm getting on up there, too (75) but felt a little better decorating. Christmas morning around 4:30 a.m., I heard a crash. Nope, wasn't 🎅. My whole deck collapsed. I thought it might have been a neighbor so didn't look for anything. Later, I looked outside to see if it was raining and saw my deck. God was watching over me because the boards were precariously leaning above the patio doors.😱 Learned today a guy is coming next Thurs to start working on it. Y'all have a ◡̈⋆ⒽⒶⓅⓅⓎ😊 New Year. 🙏🙏✝️🎊🎉

We had our traditional country ham biscuits, yeah North Carolina country ham is the best, and coffee with hazelnut creamer. Every year my husband gifts me with new flannel pajamas, a 50 year tradition. This year he got items for the 1955 Chevrolet Nomad he just purchased to restore. He was 2 years old when that car was manufactured! I miss when our kids were little and the excitement. I miss taking our son and daughter on the drive every Christmas Eve to see a huge nativity, or as our son would say, he wanted to see Baby Jesus. Now those babies have kids and grandkids of their own. We are so blessed. Happy New Year from North Carolina! May God richly bless you all.
