I used to wait til after Thanksgiving but felt so rushed to get it done. Last year I started doing little bits earlier and enjoyed the process so much more. So doing that again this year. We will wait til after Thanksgiving for the tree

A big YES to Vlogmas, I’ve recently started watching your channel and being in the UK I’m loving seeing your life in Alaska, the snow is dreamy to us but of course I know it’s a whole different story when you live with it for so long. Our winters a dull and rainy, not quite the pretty white snow. 😂 Also not having Thanks giving here I start trickling Christmas out from mid November. Will be putting my tree up next weekend. Can’t wait to get it all out and to enjoy lots of trips to London in Dec, so many beautiful lights to see there

I don't put out my Christmas stuff on my main living area until after Thanksgiving. I did go ahead and decorate my basement since we had a Halloween party I didn't want to put up my Fall stuff again just to take it down only a few weeks later.

I wanted to tell Audrey I also had the same reaction to Jergens Tanning. I was getting ready for a wedding and put it on. My skin automatically started burning. I showered immediately and when I was in the shower and suffered one of the worst panic attacks. I have a sensitivity to caffeine that gives me the same feeling. It definitely was a reaction to that product.

Yes to vlogmas! We normally wait until thanksgiving weekend. This year I get to have all my grandkids for thanksgiving so we will be deocratingfor Christmas, and doing Christmas cards!! We always used to set up early in the holidays because my youngest son, his birthday is the 19th of November and he always insisted on him that be decoration day for the holidays. We did it for many years

I set up christmas early this year because my boys absolutely love the christmas season

I’m just pulling my Christmas decorations out, I don’t do much these days, kids are grown, but what I do have, will probably be up before thanksgiving. ( I say people should do what makes them happy )

Ive been decorated for Christmas since the beginning of November. I'm glad you are all doing well Happy Peoples.

I make sure that I have batteries for my lanterns. I bring up my camping coffee pot that I can use on my gas stove. I wouldn't live in Iowa without a gas stove because I can still cook and even turn on the oven to help warm it up here. I also make sure that I have blankets, water, working flashlights or lanterns in my car, in case I have car trouble or something like that, I can stay warm and dehydrated.

I'm not looking forward to winter getting here soon. It's mid November. I really am not looking forward to the slush, snow, and ice. Especially when and if we loose power. I am ready for it as far as groceries. I've already did my total stock up in my freezers and pantries. It took me 3 months but now I'm ready. All I have to get next week is powdered milk and creamer. I also want to get frozen bread dough. It comes 5 loaves per pack and all you need to do is thaw it out, let it rise, and cook it.

I miss Safeway here in North Central Iowa. That store was always the cheapest here to shop at. Even cheaper than Walmart.
