Actor David Hart portrayed "Parker Williams" on TV's "In the Heat of the Night."
Here he is featured from a 1991 interview about singing "Let It Snow" as part of the
"Christmas Time's A Comin'" CD featuring the "In the Heat of the Night" Cast and Friends.
Hart also performed the song while appearing in the 1991 Christmas Parade in Atlanta, Ga.
Randall Franks (randallfranks.com) and his In the Heat of the Night co-star Alan Autry (autryentertainmentgroup.com) joined forces under the banner of Autry-Franks Productions in 1990 to produce the charity In the Heat of the Night CD Christmas Time's A Comin' featuring the cast of the show. Included here are vintage interviews about the project and never before seen in-studio footage also including Carroll O'Connor, Geoffrey Thorne, Wilbur Fitzgerald, Bob Penny, and Sharon Pratt in addition to Hart, Franks and Autry.
"Let It Snow" includes the talents of Country Music Hall of Fame member Hargus "Pig" Robbins on piano and Jerry Douglas on Dobro ® among other talented musicians.
The project raised funds for drug abuse prevention charities throughout the United States.
Hart joined in with other cast members and music stars to perform on "Jingle Bells" and "Christmas Time's A Comin'". Franks and Autry were able to include many music legends, some among them, Country Music Hall of Famers Kitty Wells, Jimmy Dickens, and Pee Wee King as well as many top legends from the Bluegrass genre, from Jim and Jesse to the Lewis Family. The Christmas Time's A Comin' CD released on Sonlite and MGM/UA was one of the most popular Christmas releases of 1991 and 1992 with Southern retailers.
Autry and Franks mark the 20th Anniversary in 2012 with a charity re-release with the original companies benefiting the same charitable goal from the non-profit Share America Foundation, Inc. (www.shareamericafoundation.org, www.alanautry.com)

I haven't met ALL of the actors from the show, but the ones I have they were very nice and easy to talk to. Not to confuse you but it wasn't Carroll, his son Hugh, Alan, Randy. I just had the pleasures of meeting Dee Shaw (officer Dee Shepard) Dan Biggers (Doc, Robb) Wilbur T. Fitzgerald (DA Darnell) and Mark Johnson (Luke Evarette (not sure how to spell the last name). Some of the guest stars that were on and off the show, one guy who played an officer from the Sheriff's office either before or after Gillespie took over. I am not sure if In the Heat of the Night fan club (Facebook) is still doing conventions in Covington, GA. You could probably find out more from there. I haven't been to any of the conventions since 1999/2000.
