I'm so sorry people came at you for using vintage ornaments before. Last I checked, once you purchase something, it's yours to do with what you please! Vintage or not! You're an amazing crafter and brought new life to YOUR ornaments that otherwise had a 50/50 chance of being thrown away! You are the best, Brandy! ❤🎉

Loved these! I was born in '65 and I always thought some of those vintage ornaments were hideous, but you definitely transformed them into something much more worthy to hang on a tree or even gift to someone! I appreciate that you've done some of the "engineering" designs that help with the assembly of the tricky areas. I thought it was clever that you glued a portion of a craft stick over the plastic holly of the little deer ornament and it also served as the stable base for the deer. As a crafter, I appreciate those tidbits of information! I did find it humorous when you said "I know someone wants to correct me." 🤣

The cardboard pyramid may always have been empty. As an avid crafter, I once bought a tear-outs book of fancy geometric Victorian-style boxes to craft. For me, Some became hanging tree ornaments, some jewelry boxes, and some were weighted down to be stylish pen containers. Bits and pieces of the embellished borders of on that tear-outs book still turn up in collages I make, particularly at Christmas.

What you're doing with the little jello molds is lovely. If I had 'em, I'd probably take the time to stretch them even furthur, before using them as bases for ornaments like this. I've seen youtubers mix up some paper pulp air-dry clays, and there are some super inexpensive lightweight air dry clay you can buy too. Imaging using some of these ornate half-spheres to make two molded clay shapes and then attaching the two on their bottom flat edges for a symmetrical hanging shape. You could make as many interestingly-shaped Christmas balls as you felt like, putting ribbon or embellishment over the connecting seam, if it's too obvious, or sanding the seam to blend in. Then you could decorate them however you felt like, and an entire tree set of really unique ornaments would slowly spring forth from those silly little molds, with fancy ones like you made as variation. More time commitment than is easy to put aside, at least at first, but what a great basis to build a set that all has shapes in common, if you're just starting your tree-decorating collection.

Wonderful inspiration thank you Brandy!! That cone box you had is like the Christmas tree pickle. They were loaded with goodies and buried throughout the tree for Christmas morning gift exchange. It was done alot before stockings became popular. They can also be used to hide small gifts in the tree as well. My great grandmother had many from her childhood, they made them from old cards and magazines when they had them. Grandma found them in her Christmas stuff after her mother had passed.
