I use the 1/4 inch double side tape that washes out to hold the binding on instead of using pins for the second part of sewing it on. Works better and holds the binding over the stitchline without shifting. I also use it to hold a zipper in place when sewing it. Easier than using pins which can shift the zipper. Love your tutorials. Hope Maria is doing well.

I made pot holders and gloves about 30 years ago and they are still hanging in there. I used the silver reflector ironing board covers dense batting. I'll be making new ones soon.

Your oven mit from 4 years ago used 2 batting layers and 2 insul bright layers. Are the 4 layers needed?
