Supposed to be buried in an old Abbey in co kilkenny Ireland, his remains brought back by the knights templar and buried there .

Actually the idea of santa comes from Yule,, Yule is often associated with the figure of Odin, who was believed to ride through the sky during the winter solstice, bringing gifts to the worthy. This imagery has influenced the modern Santa Claus, who shares similarities with Odin, such as a long beard and a gift-giving role.
