Wow what a genius invention...the poles and stuff to make forts...I used to love making forts with my son when he was little, it was so much fun and that definitely would have helped lol

Right! I was so excited when I came across it!! Royce absolutely loves making forts and this I think will be a better option than dragging all the kitchen chairs into his bedroom 🤣🤣

I always loved watching my kids open their presents too. The joy and look on their faces....priceless. Now it's my grandchildren that gives me joy. You are doing good on the Christmas shopping!! Your kids and Josh are going to enjoy everything and don't forget about yourself. 😉💖

Boscov’s I think is eastern Pennsylvania exclusive because the owner lived in Reading PA all his life up until he passed. Gabe’s is like tj maxx and Ross and those kind of stores and Rose’s was just put in next to our Gabe’s just like a year or 2 ago, it’s like big lots/job lots.

Hello beautiful Becca, listening to you talking about buying for Christmas reminded me of myself when my children were young. My birthday is in the week running up to Christmas, so any money I got I spent on my boys and Christmas. I, too, went around finding the best quality cheap toys I could to make sure they had lots to open on Christmas. Seeing their faces on Christmas morning made my day. At one point I had only one pair of shoes, a winter coat, gifted, and my pregnancy clothes. We didn't have much money, but what I had went on my kids because that is what mums do. I'm sure your children will always remember what an amazing mum you are. You will always be very loved ❤❤❤

Our first Christmas together, I was still pregnant with Brooklyn, we had no money and gave his 2 kids a lot of hand me down toys and stuff I collected from family and friends and then my mom took me out to get a couple outfits for them. It was all we had but the kids were happy to have presents to open. But every year since then we’ve tried to scrounge up all the money we had to make sure the kids got things they wanted (not everything) but that they were happy. Their smiles are all that matter to me. 😊

Becca, when you talk about the envelopes you make me think of my mom. She did the same thing to budget her money for the month. It all work well for her. She taught me so much how to budget my money. Good way not to crazy with your money.

Aww! I feel like that’s the best way to do it! It’s like an out of sight out of mind concept. For me when it’s all in my checking account, I spend it and then it’s gone cuz it’s there in my purse but this book I just put it aside and take the money out when I’ve reached the amount of whatever I’m saving for and buy that specific thing or take the money out for gas when my tank is empty. A lot easier for me lol

Hey Becca, you got some really great things for your kids and Josh. I know what you mean, I love giving gifts and watching their faces light up. That poles kit to make a fort is a great idea. The grandkids use to make forts with chairs and blankets too. They don't make forts anymore, a little to old for that now😊

Yessss it gives me pure joy to watch people open what I got for them, especially my kids and husband haha. And I figured the fort kit would be much easier than him dragging all the kitchen chairs into his room all the time 🤣🤣

Hey there, if you’re going to get Brooklyn a home hair dye, I 1,000% recommend getting a SEMI-PERMANENT color, like the Ion Semi-Permanent line from Sally Beauty. These are “deposit only” meaning the color is only “deposited” on the hair strand. You DON’T add developer which opens the hair cuticle to allow the dye to penetrate the strand and also slightly lifts the natural hair color. She’s just a kid, experimenting with a new hair color. The damage and permanent results of a permanent hair color kit don’t seem appropriate for someone like her. A semi-permanent dye doesn’t damage the hair at all, and it eventually washes out (BUT, as a proper warning: using dye on light hair, regardless of semi/demi/perm CAN leave a hint of color that never fully washes out. Just a caution when using something like a brown dye on her blonde hair.) Still - don’t get a supermarket/drugstore dye kit . THEYRE ALL PERMANENT/DEMI! You have to get one that says “semi-permanent” and it WILL NOT HAVE developer. Check out Ion Semi-permanent at Sally’s!

(Not trying to sound like I’m YELLING 😆), it’s just that hair color is something that seems to be inherently tricky for people to sort out PLUS the store kits are always ambiguous regarding what’s actually included in them. That’s why those kits are never recommended whether you want permanent results or not. You have no clue what strength developer is included, and the formulas are equally ambiguous. For Brooklyn, please avoid them! She doesn’t need to damage her hair yet 😛 and might hate the results, making a semi-perm color the absolute best option. Semi-perm cannot lift (lighten) hair color, which is where (bleach+developer comes in) but she doesn’t need to lighten her hair for a brunette shade. Permanent color is unnecessarily harsh for anyone looking to go from a lighter to a darker color. No lifting is needed, and so a permanent color (which uses damaging developer) is simply unnecessary.

Another idea (lots of comments, I know..), what if she used some brunette synthetic extensions (maybe one those “halo” types, that have a clear little “head band” string, that are nearly foolproof to put on), and she could have that Christina Aquilera (or should I say Xtina, haha) 2000s “blonde + dark” hair color … instead of something so drastic as all-over brown dye? Seems like that streaky dark+light hair look would be perfect for her current punk?goth-ish?emo?style. Maybe show her some picks of Xtina and others with that hair color, and then get her some inexpensive dark extensions! The look is kinda messy, so using extensions would be totally fine. Get Didn’t all of us LOVE that look at some point, after celebs like Ashley Simpson, Xtina, Avril Lavigne, Britney, Gwen Stefani, and so so many others rocked it in the 2000s?? The Xtina in the 2002 “Dirrty” video (messy black/blonde hair, her in the boxing ring) was everything to me! 😍🤩! She was sexy and badass! But my 15 year old, cheer captain, straight A, Ked-wearing, quiet self could have NEVER!! (I mean…..still….my hyper self-aware, hyper-analytical, Ked-wearing self could NEVER !! 😆). Kids nowadays aren’t familiar with the style but I sure that teen girls now - just as we did - would be into it as well. Brooklyn can be the one girl at school to have that dark/light hair look, super cool !! She can get a shaggy cut, clip in/“halo-on?” 😅some dark extensions, (do a…side bang!!!!?? Haha) and add some super cute hair clips. That sounds so cute for her! Leaps better than a home-dye brown bowl cut. Just my opinion obv though🫢

I will look into semi permanent but she’s super adamant on permanent lol. Which I started dying my hair around her age as well with box dye. Didn’t start having damage until I started bleaching it so I’ve stopped with that and will not let her use bleach haha
