This is a fantastic gift for Christmas! I already have an idea for next Christmas :-D Could you create an AGC (Automatic Gain Control) plugin? It's a compressor with a hold function. When the compressor's gate drops below the threshold, it freezes at the last compression value and only resumes once the audio exceeds the threshold again. This would be ideal for podcasts to avoid compressing only the speech while amplifying breathing sounds.
