Let's spend Christmas driving to scenic Banff National Park located in the Alberta region of canada. We start our journey from Seattle to Banff, with a distance of ~550 miles which should take the average driving about 10-11 hours to complete.
We made stops to Kamloops for our first day and reached our destination on Day 2 where we spend our nights at Canmore as the accommodations at Canmore were a little cheaper compared to the accommodations of staying in Banff.

The next day, we spent driving and exploring the breathtaking Ice fields Parkway, a renowned stretch of road winding through the Canadian Rockies. We wanted to see all of the common sites of interest that included places like Bow Lake, Peyto Lake, Sunwapta Falls, Columbia Ice Fields, and Athabasca falls.
The drive takes about 3 hours to get to Athabasca falls. It's recommended to have snow tires on your vehicle or at least carry snow chains as the roads can be snow/ icy. They do have snow plow machines running regularly to help push the snow and salt the roads, but it's always good to be prepared, as cell signal is next to none on this drive.

The next destination includes visiting Johnston Canyon and Lake Louise. Johnston Canyon is known for the trailhead through the canyon to visit the upper and lower canyon falls. The hike should take about 1-1.5 hours total to reach both the upper and lower falls. Distance for the hikes to the upper falls is 2.5 km one way, so 5 km or ~2.7 miles round trip.
Exploring Lake Louise and visiting the Fairview lookout point is fairly easy. Duration is short of only 1 km, but there is a bit of an elevation gain. It should take the average hike about 20-25 minutes to get to the viewpoint from the start of the trailhead. Make sure to follow the #15 route, but otherwise look at the map for more details. No snow shoes were necessary, but a good pair of winter hiking boots is all you need.

Last day at Banff has us exploring the city. Tried to access Tunnel Canyon Trail, however, the road to the start of the trail was closed. You could probably park your car and walk to the trailhead, but we decided not to.
Make sure to explore the Fairmont Banff Springs hotel for some iconic castle decorated living.
