Galactius is basically a guy that existed in the universe before ours and survived the collapse and Big Bang that replaces his universe with ours because he was an astronaut in a special craft or something like that. He was Imbued with crazy cosmic powers due to this and in order to sustain himself and not die he converts entire planets into energy and consumes them murdering everyone on the planet. He’s not a bad guy at all and even fights celestials to protect the universe but he gets so hungry that he loses his mind and consumes planets until he has enough energy. Kang the conquer is a dictator from the future that has his timeline destroyed by the avengers and their enemies messing up the time line with fights involving time travel and it ends up killing all his people and his wife so he uses his fleet that can time hop to escape the broken timeline and tries to kill the avengers and conquer the modern day to restart his empire.
