We don't really like going overboard and want to make sure we remember why we celebrate Christmas in the first place. 😊 Yes, the weather has been brutal recently! Our trip didn't turn out as we expected, but I think everyone's prayers helped us out (as they always do)! Thank you!

Of the adoptive families I watch, this was BY FAR the most grounded and genuine and REAL Christmas I have seen. The content I had seen before yours, I was absolutely flabbergasted by their spending. I hate being a judgey person but one I saw completely floored me that a family would spend 1500/per kid x 16 and it was so outlandish and showboat-ish and just didn't make sense at all. It actually turned my stomach. I love watching y'all's family and the gratefulness and self-driving desire to bond over learning and supporting each other. I know I'm only seeing through a pinhole lense that is offered to all of us but I wholeheartedly appreciate y'all being real.

Unfortunately sometimes that is what "sells" and gets them the subs and views. I watch those same channels! When we started this KZbin journey I wanted to show reality (but still keep some privacy). We don't ever do anything for views and we never do anything we wouldn't have done without our channel. Sometimes I wish I had the energy to do more "fun" things. I very much appreciate your comment because sometimes I worry that our channel is to boring because it's just our real life! Thank you Mescha! ❤

@@TheConnleyClan I've noticed a lot of copycatting with the large adoptive families like yours but y'all stand out for a myriad of reasons. Y'all farm. You second hand buy. You homeschool and the kids self teach. Your kids aren't obnoxiously spoiled and require $1500 worth of gifts for Christmas and birthdays or lavish trips. It's just RIDICULOUS!

The light and pureness the kids possesses its admirable to see, they are so appreciative and respectful the places they will go, i hope they continue being there best self and leave their mark on the world in everything they do. @The Connley Clan Thank you so much for responding so quickly. That's a very pretty bag. The one I saw had "leaves" or " pages" with little pouches to pop each piece of jewellery in. Edit! after some sleuthing I found it at 10:31. I think she already had it and went to get it so she could add her new jewellery. I love how much thought went into each individual gift for each child.

Although I am Jewish, I have always felt a connection to Xmas (how I have been taught to refer to this holiday because many religious Jews claim that we/Jews are not to say the name of Jesus as a savior or christ; strangely enough, the name of the holiday as Christmas, the letter 't' is silent - I'm explaining why I write Xmas). In Judaism there is the lunar calendar, or as some Jews say - the Jewish calendar. Then there is the English/Gregorian calendar....I mention both calendars because I have a b-day in both calendars; 21 December/24 Kislev with the month of Kislev has the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah on 25 Kislev. Now if u or anyone else understands what I'm saying - yup, my birth-dates are during the holiday season, hence my feeling of a connection to Xmas... And my daughter married into a family here in Israel that two of her BIL's are not Jewish, so their Family celebrate Xmas w a small decorated tree, and have all the Family over on the Saturday night tht is closest to Xmas (because of kids not missing out on schools or the army; this year was not an issue of the actual date and Saturday night). Their family have someone who dresses up as a Santa Claus 🧑🎄 and all the gifts are wrapped for all the children and put into a couple of large sheets that are shlepped out of the bedroom by two people. This year, my daughter had ordered from Ali Express three red Merry Christmas shirts for her younger daughters and her 10 year old daughter, a white and red thin hoodie w a snowman on it... and while I was kvetching to her about w ht she didn't buy me one also, it turned out that my daughter had ordered me the same thin hoodie as her daughter, but as an Xmas gift to me! I follow a few family channels on foster care and adoption, large families, religious non-Jews,and religious Jews, families who do homeschooling...w some of these topics /contents of KZbin channels are varied, variously overlapping. I see families who have adopted because it is taught in their religious culture and they teach the aspect of the Advent Calendars, Service towards others, being like the Lord. At least, that is my understanding from what I have seen on dome of the videos. I have seen families, that I am sure the above-mentioned ideas, are also a strong part of their religious beliefs yet what I see in their KZbin is what these parents have chosen to give their kids, which then shows these kids receiving thousands of dollars worth of very expensive clothes and shoes because of a specific name brand, and I do not seem to see these kids show enough of what I feel they should in appreciation - as they show the kids 'showing off' their large amounts of gifts and 'bragging'. These are my thoughts; not necessarily their actual reality. And then there are Real Family/ies like Yours, who by the way u show your care, caring, and love, u are always constantly teaching all your kids about care nd love for one another, appreciation they each have to and for the parents u are to them while still keeping alive for them the excitement and joy about Santa Claus. I have seen in some KZbin family channels that the children receive specific categories of gifts: clothing that's needed, clothes that are wanted, things that are educational, books ... and I see u guys seem to do a balance between things u needed to buy your kids in any case, because they grew out of their older things, boots for on the farm, yet having in mind each child's taste/style. Emma is a young lady/teenager in need of personal hygiene items that u knew very well she would appreciate so much. The excitement Jayde had at her new red yoga mat. Each child's absolute joy on their gifts and how appreciative and grateful they each were to u both. Your' children's appreciation, excitement, joy of the foods, being involved in Life, brings me and others who are watching your videos, a real hope for a Better Future of Life in this World. Sorry for my weird explanations/ramblings.. Blessings, love and prayers for all, from Israel 🇮🇱.

Yes the Connley Clan are very real people. I like watching normal people who aren't putting on a show and we see the real life they are living. They teach them so much and its so nice to see the kids growing in so many ways. I had the privilege to go to Israel in March 2018. That was the BEST time and experience of my life. To know I walked where Jesus walked, to see the things that are mentioned in the Bible, just makes it even more real and come to life. I have had an online "diet buddy" from there for 20 years and got to meet her. WOW was that so much fun. I would love to go back but don't think that will happen. So grateful I had the chance and took it. Thank You for everything you wrote, OH and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

No way I was trying to figure out bus routes alone!!! Her son dropped her off at my hotel and we took the bus to a market. I had a hard enough time remembering just the one stop and which way to go!!!! Now I have something to think about and smile with the memories
