Well done but the Magi were not at the birth. When they arrived, Jesus was a young child, a toddler, and his parents were living in a house.

When you consider that Jesus was under a mandate to go only to the Jews, which he passed on to the disciples, until He was given all power and authority in heaven and earth, lifting that mandate when he told them to go to all the earth, the Magi were most likely Jews who had remained in Babylon. It figures that God would let them know, and that they may have been descendants of Daniel and or his 3 friends, as there is no record that they returned to Jerusalem.

They were from the orient in the Far East in the land of Ophir, Sheba and Tarshish. They were known in their land as “Maginoo” meaning wise, noble, respectable of royal bloodlines in their land. They were of Yoktan’s lineage a brother of Pulag whose father was Eber, the origin of Hebrew people. A document was uncovered in Vatican Library, the book of the Magi just recently. They offered the same gifts as the Queen of Sheba offered during the reign of King Solomon.

Mesopotamia city of eridu is at least 3400bc or so. Much older than anything from Jewish or Hebrew or Moses or Daniel or Joseph of many color coat. Prophecy that Daniel would get probably came from Mesopotamia religion of lamashi writing. Best explanation is from John Mchugh , cuneiform polysemy. He seems to have best explanation of all Bible stories and miracles.
