I was an orphan for some time in my life, the only family I ever knew for a short time in my life where the other orphans I was with in an orphanage. Until the day I was told I had an older sister who was coming for me. I remember watching this movie with the other kids during Christmas Eve right in the scene where Kevin is looking out his hotel window and this song is playing one of the caretakers came and started talking to me and revealed the news, I wasn’t paying much attention to her until she spilled the big news then everything just felt weird but in a good way. There will never in my life be a better gift than when I found out I had a relative a really close one to be exact and that I wasn’t alone. When my sister came for me the next day on Christmas Day it was the greatest day of my life. Her and her husband(technically my brother in law but I call him pops) adopted me and raised me as their own son. I don’t even know why I bothered sharing a part of my life story on a KZbin comment section but it is what it is I hope everyone is having a great holidays!

I just don't know how John Williams does it. Everything he writes just sounds so perfect for the genre and mood he is accompanying. the best Christmas song in my personal opinion. no other song embodies the magic, innocence, and purity of Christmas like this one. It also feels nostalgic, painful, and contemplating. Definitely brings up a complexity of emotions which is rare in any piece of music. The flute fluttering in between each pause is the cherry on top. It really makes the song and elevates it from a musical perspective. So beautiful in every way.

In memory of my friend Michael P. 1982-2020 To everybody on youtube, back in 2020 my best friend Michael who likes the first 2 Home Alone movies, I dedicate in memory to him. I used to hang out at his house for 20 years until he passed away in 2020 and now his spirit is in heaven. Michael was a music conductor in training while he was still alive in his house and started getting good at conducting music at his church. But now he's likely conducting this song in heaven. Also, I wish I could meet John Williams and thank him for this best Christmas song because now I can no longer hang out with my best friend Michael anymore since his body is in the grave.

What can we do for them, to make their lifes better? Every little action counts. Every gesture, every smile or offering or favour or little sacrifice. I am a high school Arts teacher and that is the message I am asking my students to write in their Christmas postcards this year: What can you do to brighten other people´s lives? This song inspired me the topic. I am in love with this tune since childhood. It brings memories from other happy times and brings light and joy to the heart. Did you know that at the very beginning of Christianity they considered that birthdays were "pagan" celebrations? It was only a few centuries after the supposed death of Jesus that Christians decided to choose dates for the birth and death of Jesus. December 25 was the feast of Sol Invictus, the "Unconquered Sun", a Roman deity, who corresponded well to the image they wanted of the son of God. Also, December 21 is the pagan festival of Yule, feast of light. Many Christmas symbols do not come from Christianity but from pagans.
