You could cut the green cardstock into the shape of a tag too.

This is genius Janice. A great idea for these smaller tags.

Yes, that is a wonderful opening page for your December daily!! It is so Christmassy because on Christmas day we have lots & lots of tags & this page represents the day perfectly. Are the peppermint dots small enough to use as fillers for the tag holes? They might look cute as a finish. Katy will be happy to see the dots around the page as she does that a lot, but you haven't got the squiggles or bows on your gold lines!! I was sitting watching you make this & telling you where to put the various bits & pieces on your tags & they were the ones you chose!! 😆 Though I have to admit at first I thought tags? How is this going to work? Then as you placed them on the cardstock it all fell into place & to me it screams Christmas!! Would that I could write that so neatly!! I get it right on scraps when practicing but when it comes to the end result I stuff it up & resort to stamping! I also was tempted by that perpetual calendar but in the end I love my blue wren calendar too much to change it over to a new one. I have had it for many years now so I don't think I will be trading it. I did buy a calendar in the CTMH sales that I want to turn into a perpetual daily calendar to stick up on the wall but still haven't sat & worked out how to do it. Happy Christmas!
