Great stuff, Shayne. I’ve had a similar month in terms of events that disrupt training. Wedding, honeymoon (where we made the most of the All Inclusive at the resort), chest infection courtesy of fellow plane passenger, Christmas…. First coaching appointment for 2025 tomorrow and I’m pretty sure my coach will take me back to square one to build me back in. Sigh. Rinse and repeat! Keep up the hard work, mate. You’re a legend.

Yeah I hear you, that honeymoon sounds epic, but glad you are back in the grind. You will smash the beginning again.

I had achilles tendonitis last year. Took me nearly 12 months to get right. I ended up getting electro therapy from the physio. Mine started after I had tight calves I believe. Keep up the good work mate

Hi mate, Physio here. Good shout with the relative rest for the achilles but if that doesn't crack it I consider these options: - Heavy isometrics, i.e., 30-45 secs - Heavy and slow work on the calf machine - If no better consider seeing an MSK physio / sports doc trained in diagnostic ultrasound for a firm diagnosis and then structured rehab - If all else fails and diagnosis confirmed shockwave can be effective Keep up the good work! -Alec

Happy New Year and back to Sweat Sessions. Yeah, will need some of those tips and tricks how to lose weight. I'm still 10kg more than you and need to get rid of at least 2 or 3 in the next 30 days before training in Gran Canaria. Looking forward to your next video

Happy New year mate, feel your struggle after Xmas and getting back into it 😊. Have had similar issues with the Achilles, came down to calf tightness . Good physio, Dry needling and daily stretches with roller got it under control and relaxed the calf pretty quick. Hope it settled down for you all Ok 👍.

I had some luck using marine collagen for a stubborn hip flexor issue, it worked well within around two weeks. I tried it after hearing Phily Bowden mention that she was using it for Achilles tendon issues, might be worth a shot?

Neck pain? Try swimming with a snorkel

I have been using a snorkel in the pool already, good thinking! Seeing a physiotherapist today for Achilles so might ask him about neck too
