Christmas Tree Decorating | Time Lapse | 2017

In my real life I'm well known for my Christmas tree and in fact I decorate trees for my Grandparents and Dad each year too. Photographs simply don't do it justice no matter how hard I try so I thought I'd share a time-lapse video of me and my partner, Joe, decorating it from start to finish, as well as some fun facts about how many lights, baubles and hours it took us to decorate. Thank you so much! I was a bit worried everyone would hate it, everyone decorates so differently and I'm a bit snobby about Christmas trees but I adore ours and have clearly trained Joe very well in my decorating ways, he's never helped with baubles before and he did a perfect job, no one would know who did what and we didn't argue once! I can't stop staring at it, it's SO twinkly and glittery! :D Merry early Christmas! :)

I'm so glad you like it, I'm very much of the opinion that trees should have all of the colours and all of the decorations on and if you can see more tree than glitter then it's not finished! :D I love sitting on the floor with the room lights off and the tree lights on and just looking at all of the different glittery things through the tree! Thank you so much! He normally has to work so he only usually helps with putting the tree up and the lights and I decorate it all but this year he's changed jobs so he was able to help which was great, I'm hoping he'll help each year now because it was much more fun! :) Hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! :)

Hi Stacey, never too late, the tree has now been taken down which I'm a bit sad about because I really do love it but I needed my lounge back so I can get back to reviewing properly again. I add new baubles to our collection every year and I love having new things to put on the tree each time and it was so nice being able to do it with Joe this year for the first time, I hope he'll help every year as it was much quicker and much more fun! Oh wow I love how you put the lights on the spine first! It really brings the depth of the branches out! I did a timelapse for my decorating too as part of Vlogmas, it’s so cool to play back ☺️

Thank you! I didn't used to put them down the centre but the tree is so full of decorations that it got really dark inside and didn't sparkle half as much as it should, having the lights there and then baubles very close to them helps obscure the lights so it doesn't look like they're up the spine and also means it's really glittery and shiny throughout. This is my first ever timelapse but I love it, it's so much fun to watch and picks it all up much better than photos! :D
