A very nice story from this dark time. This war was the primal sin of the last century. And when we ask historians why Saxonies did fighting against each others, why Europe jumped in this terrible war.....,..... one important momentum was in Russia. Austria and Germany had fear for a new rising Panslavistic Union. I can recommend the book from historican Christopher Clark "The Sleepwalkers". For me as an German it is very sad to read about this history because this war was the bottom stone of the WWII and the bloody revolution in Russia and the Cold War with all victims in comunism systems. And we Germans bears the biggest blame.

It's funny that this is the least popular historical event while the most popular ones are usually conflicts/war related and yet people repeat them. If only Christmas Truce is as popular as most war history we've learned, people would probably learn conflict is meaningless in the end.
