New sub here. I have been interested in the SA80 since I saw the first articles on it, and despite the problems it has fascinated me, but I guess my X95 is the closest I will get. Your disclaimers aside, you deserve huge credit for all the effort you put into building this clone from scratch!

@@Echo_Mike Are you familiar with Mike, of 'Bloke on the Range'? He's a Brit living in Switzerland, and he's done videos on a real semi-only L85, that I think he owns.

There are still people who harp on the M16's early problems, not to mention the M9 pistol. Even the Glock had issues, early on!

What I learned from the Army: I'm up, they see me, I'm down What I learned from Call of Duty: They see me, bunny hop, combat slide, bunny hop, no scope cross map to eliminate the threat

Always thought the SA80/L85 series were sexy AF. Would love to have one, but almost impossible to acquire here versus my 5 AR-15 pattern rifles

Could you go over the minimum requirements for an IFAK? I too hate the little dangler things, but I also don’t want to be running around with more than I need when I’m limited on room. Especially on a belt rig like the DZ or PLCE, where if it’s a big enough pouch you’re sacrificing water or ammo.

A point. PLCE didn’t get full British Army issue until after the Cold War. 58 pattern was the iconic Cold War webbing

Excellent video again. We have the Jerven Bags here now also, simple and insulated ones, works everything tarp shelter to bivvy/tunnel tent - really good in the mountains. Great tips and obvious experience here and in your other videos - very well done again, atb.

That was the EM-2. There was an EM-1, but it was dropped in favour of the superior EM-2.

I just wish I had more time to train. It's all work work and more work at the moment. All the best Mike. The UK's going swiftly down the shitter. I hope you don't stop what you're doing. This information is invaluable.

I've done nearly 2 decades in the British Army which includes 2 tours in Afghan and multiple deployments to training areas in both hot and cold climates and my A2 never once let me down. Sure its slightly heavier than some but the bullpup design gives you a more compact design that is genuinely a brilliant rifle and devastatingly effective up to the mentioned 300m range. Sure the A1 was howling both in looks and with its track record of shitting its pants but the A2 and now the A3 is by far one of the better IWs deployed globally to date. This weapon needs more credit than it gets and the band wagon of slagging it off unjustifiably needs to be parked once and for all.
