Rick, absolutely loved watching this. Thank you! So fun to ride along and listen to your musings with a touch of philosophy and sip, two or three of wine. I can relate. And like you said, it makes it that much more enjoyable. Someday I may get a set-up like yours and drive right into virtual reality too. I'm sure it would be a great experience especially with the wheel feedback, sights and sounds that continue to be refined and improved. Ai will take this to the next level. Nice video Rick really relaxing, I do the same thing in Microsoft flight simulator VR I find it so relaxing and it’s nice flying from London where I live to south of france so nice

How many ££££ would that VR / PC spec rig set you back Rick?

Currently, I'm guessing you could probably do a very basic PCVR Rig for sub £1.5k, but if if you want the higher specs and smooth grapgics, you're probably looking at £3-4k+

Hi Rick, D and J have given me advice so I have now got a quest 3. I loved watching your truck videos last year but now watching this video you are saying about a pcvr so can you please explain what is needed? Thanks Irene

@@irenepotter2709 Hi Irene, hey, congrats on the Quest 3, I hope it’s bringing you lots of cool experiences! A PCVR setup is definitely a lot more complex than a standalone system like your Oculus Quest. It requires a high-spec gaming PC and a reasonable amount of technical know-how to get it running smoothly-especially for games like Euro Truck Simulator 2. Even for me, it often involves a fair amount of tweaking and troubleshooting to get everything just right, and it can often be a frustrating and time-consuming process. If you’re keen to dive in, it would be hard for me to sum up in a comment the amount of equipment you would need, plus I’m a few years out of date with what’s current, so I’d suggest starting with some up to date KZbin tutorials on PCVR setups and the specific requirements for running VR with a game like ETS2. There are plenty of great resources out there, and they’ll give you a good idea of what’s involved before you make the leap. It’s definitely a much more involved, expensive and challenging process, but if you’re up for the challenge, it can be very rewarding. Hope this helps 😊👍❤️

@@rickvanmanThanks Rick, I think that all sounds too complicated for me and it must be better with the stearing wheel etc. I’m sad because watching your videos looks amazing. I love the Q3 but it took me hours to work it out. I still want to cast it to the tv but I think my tv is too old. I keep trying the mini golf that D told me about but having to sit down to play isn’t easy. I have Moss which is fun. As for that horrible Walk the Plank, I’m never doin that 😂. My daughter jumped out of a plane to raise money for charity but she tried the plank and couldn’t step out of the lift 😱. Can you ?

@@irenepotter2709 sounds like you’ve been having fun with the Q3. Yes Richie’s plank experience here’s a lot of fun, but scary too. I’ve walked the plank several times and fell off a few as well LOL! Actually, at the moment, if you open the plank program and next to the lift there should be a bell. If you ring it, you get to ride in Santa’s sleigh which is rather fun. Not sure how much longer it will be there as we are now into January. The golf is good too, we play it a lot, very sociable as well . One of my favourite things on the standalone Q3 is to go into the KZbin app, type in train cab view, and then watch the train cab videos, there are some lovely ones in Japan especially. If you grab the screen with your grip button and pull it closer to your face, it makes the experience more realistic too.

'Slow living' sounds like a first world bachelor single life retirement thing. You already been living it Rick since KZbin came along & gave up the 9 to 5. Im not sure how you could get any more laid back lol. But try doing that with a family of kids to bring up & a job that you may not really enjoy but have to do to make ends meet. I would think you have to privileged enough to be either financially secure or have a means of income that doesn't require working with people & meeting deadlines, which by & large most jobs do.
