The PC Building community is highly opinionated, and often pretty hard on beginners. Good on you for putting yourself out there, I absolutely love PC building videos and I’m an enthusiast builder myself. Noticed you’re a VLOGger and spotted AGGGtM on your bookshelves! My wife’s a bookish person, too! Keep up with your passions and sharing them with the world around you! Super happy for you and your PC upgrades!

You should move the SSD to the slot just underneath the CPU/above the GPU and not leave it at the bottom locatĺon in your video. Reason being is that the top location is the primary nvme ssd drive location with the fastest speeds (PCIE Gen4) while the bottom is only Gen3; essentially Gen3 is half the speed of Gen4. Don't worry you won't need to re-install windows, the system will auto detect it. Awesome series, great to see you and your dad learning together - keep it up.

uhm.. if she plans to boot from the new nvme she will need to reinstall, but if its just for the games then its fine. personally i prefer to boot from my fastest SSD.

but u are right, it should go in the top slot (which is pcie gen4) thats an Asus B550 Plus board which absolutely supports pcie 4.0 and that SN850X is a pretty nice 4.0 drive

He’s a real one. Also next time place it on the esd bag it came out of, and not on a carpet. Carpet = static.

You can also connect old SSDs to the motherboard for extra storage, or just to access your old files, even from the old operating system. You could even boot your old system by choosing the old SSD as the boot option in the BIOS, although you would have to see if Windows supports the boot because changing the hardware requires the new drivers, and that could cause your old operating system to not boot. Either way, you could use the SSDs as storage.

4060 isn't worth at all, it's worst than 3070 for example, imagine compared to 3080/3090, those are previous gen. 4060ti is the minimum recommended from the 4000 series. Idk who recommended her to buy the 4060, but 8gb vram will suck in the future, super close future.

To protect your equipment place the components on a piece of clean cardboard or a large mouse mat / PC building mat, as carpet can cause static, and it not recommended to place and move new expensive components. Not sure if you have heard of a "Joby" tripod, can be useful if your going to make lots of videos so then you can place your camera / phone and use both hands for assembly etc overall not bad install and choice of components. sorry if i sound critical, i am just been honest and giving tips so you don't get static damage to components. the more you get into computers / components and the knowledge of building & upgrading computers the more you will learn and then be able to help out other people. That M.2 SSD drive, wa that for your primary boot drive / windows or a secondary drive for games and storage etc? if its your secondary drive then yes where you installed it was good place. usually a primary drive / boot drive would go into the upper M.2 drive slot. there are so many build videos and custom PC videos on utube, its good for the community and i hope you have fun with your upgrade.

You dont have to make a video of just changing the NVME ssd to the top slot because it would be very short, but yeah the PC building community is big, Also another suggestion you could read the first few chapters of a book in a video, im not sure if you can monetize it but it helps to give us a idea if it would be an interesting read but yeah stick to the gaming niche

One thing you should always do If you are going to be gaming and that's to Max out on the memory. That means if your computer's maximum memory is 64 gbs then max it to 64. If it's max is 128gb then max it out to 128gb. Most people end up having trouble with their systems while gaming due to this and a lot believe it or not don't realize it. Different games require not only a good graphics card but lots of good memory too. Lol also the type Memory does matter for example ddr4 Memory vs ddr5 vs nowadays ddr6! Of course this also depends on your motherboard and what it can handle as far as this is concerned. I am actually surprised that you were able to get anywhere for that long with only 7gbs of memory, WOW!
