I just retired after 34 years at WDW in attractions. I drove the firetruck, the 1903 Franklin horse less carriages, the Jittneys and the Omnibus for 15 years. The firetruck is the actual truck Roy Disney rode in; they took the horse drawn fire engine out and put the card game booth in there; they then stopped the game and put the firetruck in there. I've driven hundreds if not thousands of guests as Grand Marshall's for the 3 O'clock parade. I've driven many celeberties for specials and I've been on many national and international TV shows.

My best friend and his family (5 kids!) just arrived at Disney for their first time today and are spending Christmas there. About the menu at the horseshoe, it's actually the same menu as it's neighbor next door at liberty tree since it shares a kitchen. At one point when everything was reopening, they were also using it as overflow seating as well.

I worked those parks (mainly MK) as a maintenance worker bee and then as a manager for 28 years! Me or my crew members repaired just about everything you showed at one time or another! Good to go by way of your visit to the guest areas! I wish you could go backstage where I spent a lots of time too! An amazing job I had and so glad I got to experience all of it!!

In the 80s when we would go to Magic Kingdom, we alway rope dropped driving over from Daytona. The first thing we had to do was get a reservation for the Diamond Horseshoe Review. It was my Dad’s favorite. I can’t remember if we got food but I seem to remember sodas, water, etc. We always sat upstairs overlooking the show. So many memories.

Happy Holidays ☃️ We haven't ate at Diamond Horseshoe, but we did eat at Liberty Tree and it was the best meal we had in all the meals we ate in Disney, the others were great food to, but Liberty Tree was our favorite. I'm looking forward to riding the Train for the first time on our next vacation. Sadly it wasn't running in 2020 & 2022, which is the only times we been at Disney, so far. The golden horseshoe is in Disneyland; Walt Disney World has the Diamond Horseshoe. Yes they did have sandwiches up until the 90s, then they tried a ice cream place; that didn't last long and now it's a extra family style buffet restaurant. The entertainment left in the 90s.

At 20:40 you had asked about the locomotives on the WDWRR. There are four of them. These are their names and their wheel arrangements: Engine 1 - Walter E. Disney, 4-6-0 Engine 2 - Lilly Belle, 2-6-0 Engine 3 - Roger E. Broggie, 4-6-0 Engine 4 - Roy O. Disney, 4-4-0 You also mentioned the whistles. Yes, the whistle on a steam locomotive (note that it is not a "horn") is used to signal what a locomotive is doing. Two short toots of the whistle means that the locomotive is going to move forward and three short toots means that it is going to move in reverse.
