Yeah, that's how insanely bad the writing is in these stupid Christian movies. Honestly, I wish I could ONE movie that isn't Prince of Egypt or King of Dreams that is actually good
@wolfwing18 жыл бұрын
not seen king of dreams, but ones I like are. Book of Eli, VERY Christian film, but still very much kick ass. Omega code 2: Meggido, think left behind but done well and more sticking to the spirit of the end times, rather then all the baggage like the rapture and such. Also prety well done, special effects and such are cheesy now, but for the time it was pretty good closer to a hollywood budget and plot. End Of The Line: Weird horror film with a crazy religious message...but I actually liked the plot of it and the twists, though listening to other reviewers, a few have pointed out that there may be a secret twist that changes the entire film if you pay attention. for worst, I have to say life Life Zone, just pure propaganda with a vineer of horror, with a pretty good twist ruined by the message of the movie and the twist.

May I offer a recommendation for one of you next reviews? I'd like you to review the Oscar-nominated 2006 documentary, "Jesus Camp". It's not exactly like the other films you've reviewed, but more of an eye-opening (albeit disturbing/intense) look at the evangelical indoctrination of kids. It also provides a lesson on why this kind of indoctrination is wrong, or maybe even child abuse. If you'd rather not, or if it doesn't fit the criteria of the films you usually review, that's fine-this is just a recommendation. P.S., you're videos are great, and your "Left Behind" (2000) review is HILARIOUS!! I hope you have a Merry Christmas, and God bless!! ✝️😃😀🎄

“The C comes from Christ”, and totally has nothing to do with it being a proper noun like Halloween, or the Statue of Liberty, or California. Even for a title drop trying to justify the name of the movie, that’s a really shitty line; it’s right up there with Collateral Beauty.

Does Christian Cinema ALWAYS have to preach about something? Is it not considered "Christian" if someone is not being saved or something about the religion isn't rescued in some way? Can't Christian movies just be a story about something that occurs that just happens to maybe have people in it who are Christians? Can't there ever be random shenanigans, or funny road trips, or overcoming a challenge that does not directly involve the church? I'm not being snarky I legitimately want to know, can there just be for example clean movies that have a story, first second, third, act and all? Can't Christians just be entertained sometimes?

At 26:00 you talk about its YOUR decision to say Merry Christmas, however as I learned recently if you work at Target, Walmart or basically any big chain you HAVE to say Happy Holidays, no matter what the customer says or responds with. Not a big point but I just thought you should know some people really don't have that freedom lol
@saygoodnightkevin8 жыл бұрын
In my media law class in college, we learned about how "Freedom of Press applies to the one who owns the press." Meaning, an employer (maybe a news paper or tv station) preventing you from printing a story or saying something on the air is not censorship. However, the government preventing you from printing something using your own equipment or resources WOULD be. I believe this also applies to employment for a company. Target is responsible for the actions of its employees while they are on the clock and acting as a representative of that business. They are free to request employees to restrain from saying things to their customers, just as their employees are free to quit their job and start their own chain of stores, or refuse to work for a business that restricts them in that way. Target can't stop you from quitting based on your principles. If they could, it would be slavery, and THAT would be wrong. haha. That's my two cents on the situation. :-)
@AntiFaGoat7 жыл бұрын
When you think about it though, isn't it kind of way to protect minority rights among employees too? If every employee says a non-religious thing, that keeps the employer from discriminating based on religion. That way, if you're Jewish, Muslim, etc, you don't have to worry about greeting someone with a holiday you don't celebrate.

Seriously. Search Brad Stine on youtube with the word Christmas and watch his bits on Christmas - it's basically word-for-word. LOL

I think what would be a more interesting movie is if Christians had to face other Christians. There are 40,000-ish denominations, all with different, often contradicting rules. I know for a fact that the Evangelicals I live around would be very very upset if a Calvinist teacher told there kids there was no way for them to go to heaven (Calvinist are predetermineist).
@taiasoncole81486 жыл бұрын
EmeraldDragon Honestly I find it weird in quite of a few of these Christian movies they act as if all Christians are the same and have the same exact values and beliefs, when that isn't the case. Rarely do they show any specific denominations or difference between Christian beliefs. In fact I would argue a lot of "fighting against Christians" comes from other Christians
