If you have a VT emulator you can see how accurate (or lazy) it is by if they implemented the hardware diagnostic routines. They are ESC-#-(0-9) my favorite is the Screen alignment test (8). Because they are interpreted by display they were good for trolling people on IRC too before filters existed for that stuff. For example echo ^[#8 (it might be the right bracket I can't remember).

Couple I didn't know, most notably Mac Librarian. I'm with you though, I like a format. I always say Snorkers and Daph are the only 2 channels I know on KZbin doing something no-one else does or can. Those 2 are completely unique, the rest of us broadly are doing similar things to others, we just try to be good at it.

Found some new channels among that lot. I realised this year I actually watch more KZbin content that I do the BBC (Dr Who + QI). When ONE person can make more entertaining content than an entire corporation but using a zero or near-zero budget, the golden age of TV has very much died. Not gonna recommend my channel, I use clickbait thumbnails to entice viewers/victims to watch my nonsense. Instead: "Sayaka's Digital Attic", an Italian teenager who knows way more about 80's computers and how to fix them than I do. (Mostly C64/C16 stuff so far). Looking forward to your videos in 2024, happy new year!

Some of the documentaries are quite popular, especially the ones on the IBM PC, Digital Research (Gary Kildall), the docu-series called "Back to the BBS" and a shorter video on Xenix: Microsoft's UNIX. I do stuff on gaming as well, etc etc... :)
