Christo and Jeanne-Claude's Running Fence

I lived in CA at the time, and had never heard of Christo. I was driving up Hwy 101 to visit a friend, and there before me was this magnificent and haunting ribbon of white stretching across the landscape. It was just about the most amazing and wonderful thing I had ever seen, and the memory of it has been with me since that time -- 37 years ago. What an amazing piece of art...................

I was 12 years old and I remember driving to the coast and back with my family to view the fence. The East end of it was just 5 miles from my house.
