The one dude complaining about Alexander "doing nothing for the common man" is true if you take this presentation at face value; however, Alexander's heretofore unrealized vision is a world where we CAN build beautiful places for the "common" person, which outcompete the conventional systems in cost, speed, and efficiency. See book 3 of the nature of order for his discussions on high speed generative construction methods and materials. His legacy will notbe fully appreciated for a long time. I hope to be one small part in bringing it to fruition.

Yeah the guy at the end should have known more about Alexander before saying he'd "done nothing for the common man." Christopher Alexander spent years helping people who lived in absolute poverty to bring life back into their villages on a shoestring budget.
