For me, it's a frustration that I discovered Christopher Hitchens just shortly before his death. Then again, for me, its a wonder that I discovered Christopher Hitchens. He gave voice to my doubts about faith. He was a guide light on my way forward as I broke the bonds of the religion I'd been raised in, and he was an advisor on my path to rationality and free thought. I never knew him, personally. But I owe him a debt of gratitude for his brilliant expositions of logic. We never met, but thanks for your effort, sir.

But he was one of the few who actually stood up against the stupidity that is spread by religious people. I don't. I just ignore them. He wanted to counter their blabla with something worth using breath for. And for the "offending" part - I get that people have a right to have their religious feelings but they should cry privately about them if actual sense collides with it.
