Chris is the coolest guy and I'm not even sure he's aware of it. Dude played arguably the coolest Red Ranger ever in a cheesy but compelling 90s show and now he's just the chillest dude at your local dive bar. Would love to buy him a beer sometime lmao

In a way Karone's storyline in Lost Galaxy was a continuation from In Space as she was seeking redemption for her past mistakes.

Seeing that hat with the Andros and Ecliptor split, I realize that the Bloodline show he does with Nerdbot must have been kickin' around in his head for a long time.

Chris is such an awesome dude, blunt but still hilarious. He must be a riot to hang out with. I have to agree with a great point Joe made in the video about how Saban doesn't really respect his audience. Shows and movies aimed at children can (more like should) have good writing, emotional stakes and proper character development. (Coco and the Incredibles is a great example, but almost all of Pixar movies could serve as an example). The over "childification" of the Power Rangers is not only unnecessary it also hurts the overall quality of the show. Why is kissing and/or having a real relationship not "kid friendly"? Even 12 year olds know that people liking each other is a thing. I think the reason people gravitate so much towards PR in Space is because while still kid friendly, it told a great story. Basically Star Wars as Chris would put it, but still a great story. Ashley and Andros' relationship while properly developed could have had better payoff by having Ashley and Andros actually kiss or have a clearer resolution to them ending up together as a couple. Hell, the climax in Time Force is kind of underwhelming when Wes and Jen have to share an "I love you"-hug instead of a kiss. It would make sense for teenagers/very young people that have to do what is basically being in the army, which would create extremely powerful bonds between them and with some hormones going around it would be expected for the Rangers to develop feelings towards each other. Power Rangers could greatly benefit of stepping up the narrative and going for at least slightly more mature subjects. If you actually think about it, the best seasons have always been the ones with the stronger emotional conflicts (in Space, Time Force) while retaining their inherent sillyness. And also the show has to inevitably realise that its audience has grown up with them, of course children still watch it, but you now have a grown-up audience that you should try to maintain. When you do a 15th/20th or 25th anniversary you are doing it for the older fans, the kids won't care since they won't know who half of those older rangers is. Hopefully the new anniversary episode is better than Once a Ranger and Legendary Battle, because oh boy those were bad.

This was an incredible interview. Well done, guys. 25 years and still my favorite Red Ranger. Hope you all do more of these: long, real, uncensored. I think Kerrigan Mahan would be great on something like this. He seems like such a straight forward, no bullshit kind of guy.

I thought Chris was gonna say Ashley honestly because in the show Andros was always talking and hanging out with either Zhane or Ashley. Technically Ashley was the first one of the Rangers that Andros started opening up to about his childhood with his sister getting captured and what happened to his home planet and the attack that left Zhane in a coma.

I don't know if some of Christopher's info is accurate since I'm pretty certain Bob Manahan was doing the voice of Zordon at the time of Space and I'm pretty certain Chip left after Time Force so I don't think he had anything to do with Wild Force. Also when he mentioned the "wood chipper" thing that was Disney at the time so I think he had incorrectly remembered some stuff.

i think that the therory that ecliptor is andros and karones father works just because of this line that he says after andros refelts her blast back at her and i quite " how could you do this to your own sister" only a father of a woman would say that about her.
@robdcollector28086 жыл бұрын
Damian Dennis ...Ecliptor was a created robot machine. Even he himself said he was created for evil. Its why he turned to sand at the end and not a human.
@damiandennis52976 жыл бұрын
Before the whole in space part of power rangers, Andros and Karon were living on Ko-35 right with their mother and father we can assume. So what if something happened to there father after karon was kidnapped. He coupd have become abusive or he could have become like a punisher type chatacter from marvel comics and he sould have been damaged found by dark specter and turned into a cyborg its like a whole koragg type thing but they turned him full cyborg and with the "upgrades' that he was givin by darkonda because dark spector told him to. Plus, the hatred towards darkonda is a very reliable piece of evidence because everytime darkonda would try to betray and or hurt Astronima/Karon he would be on his ass because he must have found out that darkonda was the one to steal his little girl.

"Doctor Who is a kids show that grew into being for everyone." Actually not true - BBC drama not kids department made Doctor Who as a family show. It has a remit that children should be able to follow it (not necessarily understand all of it). It has grown however into this mainstream drama. Doctor Who & spinoffs SHOULD be Power Rangers guiding star. It had mostly the same limitations & a similar sense of humour.
