@@mafia2boy33 DaVinci would have done botth, or many. did a little google research. the dialects that formed modern italian started coming out in the 9th century but did not become THE language until the 16th. So just like everything else, DaVinci was ahead of his time (but only by less than 100 years). That said, latin was still super common and any educated italian would be fluent still.

I honestly can't compare Sogno di Volare to Baba Yetu, as they are so vastly different, but both are my favourites! While Baba Yetu relays the message of understanding, like "we're all so different, but are united by so many things we share", thus giving us the idea of peace and cross-cultural communication, Sogno di Volare treats the humanity as a whole, with all our dreams and aspirations, challenges and endeavors, frontiers and discoveries, our desire for exploration and thirst for knowledge, and both songs relay their messages brilliantly.
