I held back from Christopher Ward watches for a long time. I was skeptical. How then, do I now find myself with 2 C60 Trident Pro's in my keeper box!? In this review I'll show you through 3 generations of the C60, discussing the differences in these generations - The Christopher Ward logo, Case design, materials, comfort, THAT SS band and more.

The Mk 3 looks stunning, & so much bang per buck. I'm probably in the minority when it come to the logo at 9 o clock, but I think it gives balance to the dial.

By far the best divers I’ve experienced at the price , I do feel they are comparable to to the oris aquis . I’ve owned several of both so feel I’m probably in a position to make the statement . Presently use two of latest gen find them great for the office .personally much prefer the new design . The older design was showing its age slightly more akin to stuff that was widely available seven to ten years ago. Considering you can pick up slightly used on eBay for 400 quid is remarkable. Personally I would urge people to go this route than buy a new steinhart . From a quality perspective they are just on a much higher level .

Great video. Love seeing the generational changes. I am probably one of the few who prefers the 2nd gen logo to the original. I have the 43mm 2nd gen C60 with a gorgeous red bezel, and a 38mm 2nd gen vintage C60. I like these watches so much that I will likely purchase a third one.

Excellent watches. I had the early C60 600 and currently have a C65 GMT. Very tempted to this new version. A modern, well specced dive watch.

A skeptic too on this brand , until i held one in the metal . wow ! stunning ... ordered a dartmouth to go with my c60. The 9 O'clock logo is barely noticeable in the flesh as its so small , it always looked so big on larger than life video/reviews.photos etc.. and besides ,it actually looks ok . The fantastic qualities of the watch surpass and outweigh what ill feeling i might have felt about having a named 9 O'clock logo . i feel like i appreciate it and accept it now i own one . If this is holding you back from taking the plunge id advise you to get one on your wrist ..It disappears.. but yet reminds you of the quality you now own when you do see it ..and 60 day returns ..drop the mic..

Got a pretty specific question here: Tomorrow I'll have the chance to buy one of three of Steinhart's 39mm Gnomon-exclusive models (OVM, Explorer, non-limited Marine Blue/Snowflake). I'm also eyeing the white dial CW Trident 40mm pretty hard. But it's either a Steinhart or the CW - don't want to get too greedy... ;) . I own three Steinharts already, so I have no doubts about their quality, but I've never seen, let alone handled, a CW. Since you've owned/handled both: Is the CW worth the extra money? I know the movements are comparable (although CW supposedly doesn't regulate them as well as Steinhart), so I'm talking more about materials, finishing, general look and feel of the watch.

Hi, I've owned the steinhart ovm 39mm in the past. I only sold it because I bought a omega planet ocean and cudnt justify two black dial black bezel watches in the same collection. I've also bought this white christopher ward. I bought the exact on in this video in the 40mm size. I Ioved my steinhart and will be buying another in the future for sure, but the chris ward is a level above imo. I also bought the black rubber strap from Chris ward. They're all quick release so changing from bracelet to strap and back when it takes your fancy is great and takes seconds. Got the lot for £769. Great price too.

Great video! I'd point out that the blue and the vintage colored examples in your collection are both 2nd Generation models. The logo was changed part way through the Generation 2 production, but there were no other meaningful changes. So you have a Generation 2 old logo, a Generation 2 new logo, and a Generation 3. The first generation had a mix of round and rectangular indices similar to a Seamaster 300M, aluminum bezel insert, and the date window as at 4:30. Also, the wave dial was not added with the logo change, nor was it even new for the Generation 2 model. Generation 1 used the wave pattern dial as did Generation 2 models, both old and new logo, except for certain colorways. The Vintage was one of the few colorways that did not use the wave dial. Bronze, titanium, and some limited edition models also used a smooth dial.

Hi Tom, thanks for the kind words! The CW's have push pins. I'm normally not a fan, I feel like higher quality watches should generally have screws... However, the CW's were actually excellent and very easy to size compared to some other pins I've had experience with.

Thanks! Yeah the hands are beautiful on the earlier ones. I am a little torn between the two... Do like the modern look and I get what they're doing with the redesign, but the previous gen was so classy and kinda vintage in look.

Dying to buy the 38mm version. Especially with the Mk. III redesign and new handset. An amazing VFM proposition. Have come close many times but (nothing new here) just can't get past the logo. It's simply unforgivable. Go with an un-ghosted flag logo at the 12:00 position and you have a real winner.

Nice presentation with the three gens _ CW design and quality make the price point a hard to say no, and there is a but of a deal breaker for me _ it is the length , eleven letters long of one word that gets in the way of the dial's aesthetics _ it is not the brand name or the fact the man is no longer with the company, as one of three founders - From a visual stand-point my eyes are drawn to these 11 letters long and slightly larger print size than other print on the dial; when my eyes should enjoy taking in the time as i casually notice an aesthetically pleasing dial. . . :>/

@@am8119a few issues the 5 year warranty can take months and they do not fix things 600m water resistant quite a lot leak if you go diving read the trust pilot reviews. MY issue was i bought a trident and changed my mind thinking 60/60 guarantee. I did not take the watch out of the box. I sent it back and received an email saying the watch had clearly been worn and if i wanted a refund they would jave to take 30% off the price. I rang them pretty annoyed as you could imagine and they openly admitted on the phone the plastic protection was still intact. I said i would contact the credit card company but after some arguments they gave me a managers email. I imagine there are people who would of just accepted it. If you look at reviews there are quite a few bad reviews. They look the part they use high end materials and standard swiss movements in most of there watches but looks can be deceiving.

ben davies because being discontinued doesn’t make it any less good or less desirable. Some of the older models are absolutely gorgeous. also this is a review showing the progression across multiple generations of the same watch line

May I add also, that you can (and many do) buy and sell in the 2nd hand market. I am just a mere custodian of the watches I wear, time is immortal unlike myself.
