When I rescued Betsy she was 8 weeks old tied to a tiny tree in 20° weather. I knew nothing about pitbulls. That was 14 years ago and she's sleeping on our couch right now. She's been a joy to own! She's so sweet,playful and affectionate. We knew we were keeping her after the first night. We rescued another pittie mix 7 years later and they adore each other. We couldn't be happier!

sorry but i must say that the idea that one owns another is one of the many negative things that our species is responsible for and so far from how a relationship involving different sentient beings should be looked as and described. that being said one can tell so much about someone from the kindness to animals that is given and that is one of the greatest characteristics that one could hope to have and find in our journey to find those who are similar to ourselves

I rescued my baby pittie too. She just walked up scared and starving. She spent the first 3 days laying next to my side barely moving and now she sleeps in my bed every night and i cannot imagine life without my baby fig. We made videos on my husband's KZbin channel of her and her progress.

Christoper reminds me a lot of my boxer, Cuddles. He was abandoned as a senior dog, no one knows exactly how old he is, or what his name was before I decided to name him Cuddles. He’s my Velcro dog. I have a pit bull named Chance and didn’t want a 2nd dog, but had started fostering. He came to me and snuggled up so tight the first night that he knocked me off of the bed. He had health issues, and my concern was that someone would adopt him, decide that he was too pricey and then leave him again. I decided that it didn’t matter what it was going to cost I was going to keep him. In the 2 1/2 years that I’ve had him he’s had to have 3 surgeries, 2 for tumors and 1 to remove a number of broken teeth (the vet thinks that he had been kept in a kennel far too much and had tried to chew his way out). He is the biggest love muffin! He even has colors and a build similar to Christopher. They’re both so cute!

I rescued a pit mix last year from the street, I’d never had a pit before, not because the undeserving bad rap they have but because they’re so powerful and I’m no spring chicken, afraid they might drag me. Well they’re so eager to please that makes them so trainable, Chela is such a love bug and gentle on the leash. Pits are now my favorite breed.

My lab has arthritis and we switched foods, but also anytime I had left over chicken bones I’d make bone broth and top their food. I don’t know why, but it seems to help him.

Bone broth has collagen which helps in arthritis. It is also anti inflammatory .I guess the same things apply to dogs as well.

When you have a dog like Christopher he is what he is! They can only tell you how much they love you by snuggling licking and those incredible moments stay forever. Each snuggle is a million tiny bubbles bursting and we breath it in.!!!

He's kinda of goofy looking, but in a good way, that it makes me smile. I love the part in the video of him wearing sunglasses. He looks like a little old man watching the young girls walk by to me. For some unknown reason very similar to the late great comedian Jack Klugman of the old TV series The Odd Couple. Also, I think he's got a good match for a brother too, and they look almost like they came from the same set of parents because they look so much alike to me.

I have a pit bull that if you look at him you get scare.. Everyone in my neighborhood calls me if they are going to come in so that I can put the dog away for his face scare them. My pit bull is such a loving and loyal dog that no one can imagine behind that face is such a timid loving, hugging and loving animal! And he is 100% pure pit bull. Big strong, energetic, fascinating and a big kisser and hugger!! .. The most adorable dog ever! He sleeps with me, and obeys every single instruction I give him.. He watches TV and videos with me.. He dances if I play music.. He loves riding in the car and going exploring.. He loves the ocean.. People stay away from me when I walk him.. He have never tried to bite or attack anyone.. He is quiet and always obedient. He knows he is love and do not understand why people shies away from him.. He loves to be petted.. and is very very patient.. he is my soul mate!

I was wary of pits until I got one. Changed my life for the better and changed my perspective on life. Currently still have my 13 year old rednose adopted from a shelter when he was a year old. He has been the best friend, protector (I live in a sketchy neighborhood) and cuddle buddy. God bless these misunderstood and often mistreated dogs.

We have rescued all of our animals and every one has been such a joyous journey. I started rescuing when I was5 years old and have always had such beautiful relationships with all my animals. I'm 61 now and have 3 cats that were feral and we took them in and our dog was rescued from a kill shelter k just 1 hour before she was to be put down. No regrets for any of them. They love us so much. It's a wonderful life!!
