This song is real af. Not only are the lyrics speaking on the exact outcome of human relationships, and the chorus 100 percent facts because of it--at the end he said: "I talk, I walk, I think for myself and I count my money on my own, baby." Wow. When I was a kid, it was a song about a man going crazy in the world. But now that I'm grown--it's about a man staying sane in a crazy, crazy world.

I remember seeing this video, when it first came out and saying, "The song is STRAIGHT UP Bobby Brown's 'My Prerogative' and the video is a mix of both that song's video and Bobby's 'Don't Be Cruel'. Understandably, Bobby's career was so HOT at the time, imitation was definitely the most sincere form of flattery (see Father MC's "Treat Them Like They Want To Be Treated" and The Boys' "Crazy" videos, amongst others). Nevertheless, Christopher Williams: DEF lived up to his pedigree (the LEGEND, Ella Fitzgerald); was/is a tremendous talent; and had a GREAT career. Artistically, this era (80's - mid-90's) was the DOPEST!!!

My 3 year old soon to be 4 year old on may 3rd has taken a liking to this song and idk why!! I watched the Christopher Williams unsung episode last Sunday night, not knowing he was really paying attention to it. Out of all the songs they featured, this song stuck in his head. He wants to watch this video in the mornings and anytime he can slip my phone away from me. He knows who Christopher Williams is like he's the most popular singer out now. Idk what he likes about this song so much. I think it's funny. My mom and brother were stunned he knew his name. 😁

It's because kids are the realest and pure of heart - he likes the song because he likes it. Hes not following any trends or what's "hot". He loves the song because it resonates with him.Reminds me of when I first heard "Poison" by BBD at age 5 - the song had already been outdated by then but I immediately fell in love with the song and couldnt stop listening to it, I will come home from school rushing to listen to it 😊

OK to clear up the confusion, Teddy Riley did "My Prerogative" for Bobby and Timmy Gatling along with Alton "Wokie" Stewart did "Talk To Myself" for Chris. They both have similar sounds due to the fact they were in the same group: Guy and also that was the common sound in the late 1980's.

ALWAYS hated it. But today I seen Timmy Gatling rapping in it and boom. It all makes sense. Timmy was in Guy but he LEFT before they hit big. He's even on the cover of the first album. He probably had rights to some of the music he and Teddy created including preproduction of an yet untitled My Perogotive. TEDDY just beat him to the punch. Hence this sound alike song. Boom.

This song just popped in my head. I had not heard it in over 20yrs. But get this "I talk to myself, cause there is no one to talk to, people ask me why do I do what I do." How is it that there is no one to talk to but people are asking you why you dooo what you dooo?

It was nice to see CW on (RHOA) Real Housewives of Atlanta a few seasons ago on Season 6, Episode 14,(I had to look it up to make sure)... CW wrote a "little short song", (And performed it)..it was from Peter Thomas to his wife, Cynthia Bailey... It was very Beautiful. Unfortunately, They Are Now Divorced, however, CW has a Undeniably Beautiful... Smooth Voice...& would Love to hear more from him. GOD Bless Everyone!!!
