I've been having trouble sewing four layers of marine vinyl to make a strap for a purse and I just found your video. Boy I sure hope this works because I really want to make this tote bag.

I really need some help with the issue I am having. The needle glides through the fabric easy and sews great however, I have no clue how to lock my stitch. If I even attempt to press the lever on my machine by going backwards to lock the stitching.. even the slightest bit, it cuts the vinyl fabric like scissors. Eventually pulling apart the sewing and absolutely destroying the fabric. My question is.. How do you lock a stitch when working with vinyl? Should I just leave it the way it is with a single stitch and let everything unravel? Do I lock it by hand knitting the ends? I'm so lost with this, wasting time, money and material. :(
