I like how small the old city of New London looks in this game. Really shows a different perspective with the change in scale between the games.

Heyhey Mr Odd, love your videos! I noticed something when placing districts (I hope you don't mind some backseaty tips, i think i heard you say something along the lines of "viewers mentioned, that..." before, so i hope it's ok): To get the adjacency bonuses for districts, you only have to fill the bar that pops up when placing them, so for example when you place the housing districts in the beginning, only 3 tiles need to be in the crevasse to get the -20 heat req bonus. Those bonuses are also stackable (but only once from each adjacent source), this means that you could build 2 housing districts in 1 crevasse (3 tiles of the crevasse for each district), and when placing the remaining tiles correctly, you can also get the "near housing district" bonus on each one, for having 3 of the housing district tiles next to the neighboring housing district, effectively eliminating the base heat requirement for both housing districts. Like this you can get massive amounts of heat requirement reduction just with proper planning / expansion of your districts. Good luck surviving the frozen wastelands :)

One thing I noticed with frostpunk 1 is that you're constantly getting story or lore snippets. For example through scouting or the info bubbles that appear on the city world. I hope FP2 has this as well because Frostpunk was great due to its world building first and survival city builder second
@mi12noАй бұрын
You have to play FP2 at play or fast forward 1 speed at first to get the lore. Make sure you have a day to play it or you’ll be more focused on completing it faster and miss the lore. That’s what happened to me on release night. Got to chapter 4 but had terrible play experience lol. The time crunch is real

Hey, special request, if you can remember and want to, would you mind zooming in sometimes in the city and such, when in a 'down time' so we can see the models, the way things move, people and transport etc?? Would be really really cool

I’m sitting here wondering… did the Captain died of old age, or was he assassinated? Cause the opening cutscene had bad vibes maaaan Edit: 27:14 Nooooooooo, it’s cancer time babeee 😢 36:00 Ooof, a major blow to universal survival income. In Odd’s world, if you ain’t working for profit, you might as well be dead babeee This playthrough is gonna be amazing lol
@DannyBoyZeroАй бұрын
"Ooof, a major blow to universal survival income. In Odd’s world, if you ain’t working for profit, you might as well be dead babeee" It might just be me, but in a post apocolyptic scarcity economy it seems most advantageous to only provide survival goods to those who earn it (and their elderly and young dependents, of course) by generating value for the community. Honestly, it's the same issue that keeps cropping up with socialism and communism. The more people who see a free ride take the free ride. Eventually people work to the mimimum, if they work at all. Odd's choice is the one that most readily ends that downward slide. Besides, nothing in the little blurb that was offered denied the possibility of an assistance program. It just indicated that, all other things being equal, if you can work you will work, if you want access to scarce materials and basic survival mechanisms.

Out of the 3 factions I would side with the faith keepers the most. They're probably a little crazy but they seem motivated to do good
@Michael2137.Ай бұрын
I got a little discouraged of them because they proclaim they are for tradition but on the other hand they see the generator as their new god which is opposite of that. In the first game when you chose the faith path I'm pretty sure they only use the word Lord as people of that era would.
@LowkehАй бұрын
@@Michael2137. Now, I barely remember anything from FP1 except for the nice snow physics. But, reading Faithkeeper's description @ 22:48 "Followers of the religious movement established by the Captain [....] they're communal, traditional and devoted to the Captain's memory.", I interpret that as them taking on/following the Captain traditions, which (I can only assume) has a different foundation than what the Faith-guys had in FP1 ... Then again, a bit further down, it reads: " *TRADITION*. The proper ordering of society was decreed at creation. It is our humble duty to perpetuate it" Creation? Like, the biblical creation of life kinda-deal, or are they talking about the actual creation of the sect/cult? Wow, so ambiguous, much confuse.

As much as I remember the first game, at some point you have to choose between, using modern terms, fascism and religious fundamentalism. Neither of those options seem particularly attractive on the long run. You've chosen the latter as the starting point in this playthrough, but it may that later down the line you'd be able to reform it into something else.

This game went Civ6, ie all mobile point and click 'districts.' I wouldn't pay 20% for a mobile game, let alone 45$. This game is a huge disappointment and not worth even being on a PC.
