Since i see you struggling with food, it wouldn't be a bad idea to check the technology tree next time and look where the farms are, they are the best food income. If they are close it wouldnt be a bad idea to rush farms first. If they are too far away, guess you should just look for any technology that helps you food wise...

09:10 You can build two quarrys with 4 output each on that rock pile. Get 8 with 2 quarrys instead of a 5 with one quarry.

I had 4 failed tries with this one. I started to clear the map until a huge mob came from a different side (every time). I guess the rangers make noise and attract the more zombies? After watching this video to the point he made it clear that he wants to let them patrol in the beginning, I tried that and it instantly worked ^^ I won this with a bit of a different approach doe. I started with patrol and built walls early and slowly expanded them. Guess your way is more efficient xD I just didn't want to retry again if it fails

I bought this yesterday and was so frustrated, because I made the same mistake. I clearead the map and thought now I can build. Lost four times by random spawned infected. I freaked out. Will try now with that strategy.

This music is so good. Its ominous and foreboding which makes you nervous especially knowing that your entire run can be ruined by a single zombie. Just perfect.

I’m anticipating that zombie attacking music soon. It’s one of my favorite tracks on this game. It’s worth the wait though. The defenses and resources are a priority. All will fall into place soon enough. Looking forward to the horde.

the sneakers :D i feel you ... this one was so frustrating ... constantly losing because ONE zombie slips through unnoticed on a map where u need to spam camps, which will be your demise once a zombie slaps that tent

When I played this map, I just had towers with rangers on them with walls in front. NGL it was a very resource heavy mission but my god did the base hold 😁

Often, villages, towns, and cities are named specifically for a unique characteristic in them. Because this settlement has random wooden posts, I am sure the settlers find them as an odd specticle. This is late, but i wanna dub this settlement Totema. Because the wooden walls look like totems

Ha this original 800 colonists stage I gave up trying to mix huts and houses in the same area. Put all houses south of tracks and all huts north. Spammed rangers on chase and just pumped them out faster than zombies could kill them (viz like 6 barracks constantly training).

Sniper balls will annihilate pretty much anything. Make sure the map is mostly cleared as well, since swarms will pull the map population as well. Makes them really tough to beat.

Not the best map to pop soldiers so soon, better wait until you have at least 1 layer of walls on all sides with towers first. If the noise brings a horde you will be in big trouble in an open field map like this one.

I hate how they put the center right against the tracks. It makes it so hard to build an inner city wall to isolate sections.

Too many towers, it's a waste of resources and energy for most of the game until food really becomes a limiter and you know exactly where you want to put your top tier towers. Rangers or other ranged unit on patrol is a much better allocation of money/resources behind a cheap wall will do it for most things beyond a true wave as repairing a cheap wall is basically nothing when you're over producing slightly. Also, exploration is a must, especially on the skirmish mode. You need to expand out and determine the choke points early so you don't waste resources just walling/gating open areas and allowing natural pockets to be shown.

You should be more careful with your urban planning. If you have to move troops from the south or the eastern sections to the northwest they'll never arrive on time. You left them no option but to circle around the entire city by the walls, as everything else is a messy sea of tents.

If I recall correctly, excess of a resource results in the excess being sold for gold, except of course for an excess of gold. So it wouldn't really save gold, it still has it's use and it probably wouldn't be worth micromanaging it like that.

Unfortunately, badly distributed punts of research, now you can not undo it and now you can only start the campaign from the beginning :) I recommend that you do not give out research points before the mission. You have to lose to know which tests will be useful in the mission, but it's known only after losing :)

U know I never thought about it, but this is gunna suck...you don’t have farms and there is no water...that only leaves hunting..*cringe...maybe instead of having that research as being able to make farms maybe they should let u start with farms(at a lower quality perhaps), rename that research to something like irrigation, and have it make farms a lot more effective.

Patrol commands are useful in most strategy games if you know how to use them. You can cover chokepoints with a smaller force and not have to micro as much etc. I used them all the time in StarCraft.
