I have since watched her many, many times She took my heart for her voice, but also for the way she reverted to a bubbly little girl when she stopped singing. Tonight I cried when I saw how she has grown into a beautiful young lady whose voice has onlky got better, but the bubbly wee girl is still there.

@@NatalieJ22 it's not a sexist thing at all, it just sticking to a traditional way, would you say it waa sexist if I said I'm glad Pavarotti wore a proper opera suit and bowed, Amira is a traditional young lady who hasn't been pressurised into being what some might deem a modern persona, she does things her way and I applaud her for that, not sure how you come up with weird sexist from that, maybe you are the one that is weird for taking offence at somebody complementing somebody else on their values, if I had been offensive then sure condemm me, but to condemm somebody as a weird sexist for making a compliment surely makes you the weird mixed up one, try and get a grip of reality

I was part of a Pipes and Drums band from Canada, escorting WWII veterans back to The Netherlands for Liberation anniversary ceremonies. Amira sang for our veterans. It was so emotional, moving. Bless her.

I'm so glad that her talent was nurtured rather than exploited. I feared for the child she was, that they'd push her too hard too soon, and burn her out. Thankfully that didn't happen, the angelic purity that was the voice of Amira the child is still there in Amira the woman, grown richer and more powerful with maturity. She's learned control - breath to support the lower register without marring the coloratura that few even world class sopranos possess. The phrasing is smoother, the diction clearer (except when she sings in English, the Dutch/Afrikaans accent blurs it slightly - she's actually better in languages she doesn't know). I'd love to hear her do Königin der Nacht in die Zauberflöte, but it remains to be seen whether she'll make a career of opera proper or remain a singer.

She lost her voice, sorry. Her vibrato is out of control and she cannot sing in tune when getting to a large interval. This happens with most child singers.

Она с неё все соки давила и драла как Сидорову Козу , я видела её -- Итальянка с Британской Педантичностью ..... она ей дыхание ставила и диафрагму ..... вся техника там её , а вообще у них вся семья Музыкальная и Папа Музыкант Оркестровый а там Уситчивость и точность очень высокие ..... аудитории собираются Европейские а они очень требовательные и искушённые ..... на халтуре не проехать ! Просто нужна Студийная запись , но ответственные Концерты идут очень высоко ..... да пополнела , не уследили , тортики сильно влияют , надеюсь что она возьмёт себя в руки .....а ещё у неё период такой , природа требует стать Мамой и бурный Гормональный взрыв ..... думаю что всё наладится .....трудно быть такой Известностью когда все зовут принять участие в их Концертах ....я поставлю видео где она в полной форме .....

Very interesting. I didn't know Plato said that. I mentioned Plato in regard to Amira's singing in one of my videos. Amira once said she did not know why people cried when she sang. She said perhaps it reminded them of something beautiful. That is a nearly perfect match with Plato's description of viewing the world of perfection (forms) prior to the fall into mortal life. According to Plato our recognition of perfection is due to this recollection. Amira is solid gold. Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful day!

Indeed, you're right. Not only the audience, but Amira herself sometimes seems to have been directly acquainted with the idea (form) of music, even before her birth... Actually, there is an assertion by Leibniz, which made me always think of Amira's voice since my very first hearing. Musica est exercitium arithmeticae occultum nescientis se numerare animi.
