I found myself without a Home a couple of years ago and the safest place I could think of was in a bush on the railway lines. That way my stuff was safe from people stealing it and I wasn’t actually visably homeless to others. I eventually got found. I pleaded with the young fella who after leaving me there DID ring police. I returned at about 10pm to seeing coppers and ambulance crew looking for me? Why bring the ambulance-what a silly waste of resources. So I waited for them to leave then I moved the tent down the track a bit (I had to sleep somewhere). The only place I could find was jammed in between a barrier and a bush . Never forget sleeping there and waking up literally 2.5 mtrs from the track-the ground rumbling when the fast trains fly past at 5.20am first train. It was raining when that train woke me up,I felt so horrible I can’t even properly describe it. It was panic and anger all at once. I put my camo ground sheet over the top of everything and left for the gate to leave that area of instant arrest if seen. Honestly,when I shut that gate and was safe I walked away I honestly felt ashamed of myself. It’s only when you sleep near a railway line you realise how much stuff gets moved through the night. Nuclear waste,chemicals,tanks and god knows what secret stuff !! An idea for cooking done grub is a small gas bottle burner and get what’s called a Panini toaster. I’ve been using it for years!! You can cook almost anything in them,really good idea. It’s literally a clamp that shuts tight and you flip it over heat. Saves eating that crap from those shops mate!! Could have had a couple of fish finger sandwiches instead for only £5. There’s a cheeky hide n seek buzz going on when hiding in plain sight. Just not for 6months right ! 🤣🤣😳
