What a great answer from a most likely great person. Didn't expect that answer when I saw the title and then got a positive surprise. You're absolutely right. Good places and people are everywhere, despite the government might be evil. Power corrupts.

Hello Christoph! I remember first seeing your channel and subscribing a looooooooooooooooooong time ago when I was still in school, I don't remember the exact year but it was something around 2010 and I was 15yo back then. It's 2024 and I'm still around and I just realised that I'm older than you were back then. I have a dream of doing my own journey and I think that it was ingrained in my mind by your experience as well. I hope I'll be able to leave my world behind and achieve it one day, even tho the situation in the world seems to be quite disturbing in the moment. The dictatorship countries that you can't visit anymore is something that I can relate to and, unfortunately, it concerns quite a big amount of territories of our planet. Anyway, I just wanted to thank you and say that I'm glad that you are still around and sharing your experience. I'm so warmed by this AMA answers you are giving. I don't know why, I'm just happy to see you so relaxed, diving in your memories of the way. It comforts me a lot, like listening to a friend and hoping that this moment will last. Peace!

Do you have some viewers that you remember commenting under your first videos and stayed over for the whole journey. I unfortunately found out about you too late. Greetings

老雷,Can’t hardly recognize you but you look so much better with clean shaving and cut! BTW, it’s good to know that you had no regrets on your journeys, pretty sure you are able to go back sooner than later due to the fall of communism & dictatorships - per Christian prophecy. 🙏

Christoph, wanna say that your journey has been incredible to watch and follow along with. When you first started I was still in high school and now I am a doctor haha. I am of Chinese decent so it was beautiful to see you cross the country and in a way as you've walked further in distance both in distance and personal growth I've had the chance to grow up with your journey. One day I'd love to meet you in person but until then I wish you happiness in whatever you decide to do next!

Probably a good call not going back to unpredictable countries like Iran. You never know when they feel like going for some hostage diplomacy, especially if you’ve said some mean things about their government. Other than that: it is nice indeed that you can’t think of a single place! 🌟

Hey Chris, Werner Herzog said: "And I still think it's good that someone who wants to make films should walk a few thousand kilometres. This direct contact with reality gives us deeper insights. The world opens up to those who are travelling on foot." Do you agree on that? Did the world open up for you in a way that it could just open up traveling by foot? Best Greetings!

Wild that you can´t go back to so many places, but I admire that you didn´t bite your tongue and said what you wanted about them without holding back....out of curiosity did they let you know you can´t go back, or do you just know they probably won´t let you in if you try because of what you said and the way they operate with people who speak negatively about them?
