Christy, I tip to save on the colorless blender is to use 90% alcohol to clean the barrel and caps. As long as you don’t touch the marker tips.

Just watched this again. Started some marker maintenance today and realize I’m going to have to break out a scale. Tomorrow 😂, it’s buried. Plan on referring back to this video as I don’t have a pen and paper near me to write down the weights. This was so informative and I thank you for making it. Hugs.

Oh my goodness Christy! So helpful! I am a little sad they are changing the refills. I just barely got my markers built up and a few refills. The OCD part of me is saying... A different shape? They won't match! LOL.

Very helpful, I've been needing refills on many markers and haven't been able to get them due to the shut down. Hope I can soon get what I need.
@christygetscrafty4 жыл бұрын
I know, it stinks! It's also probably due to the transition to the new bottles. The old ones were discontinued, and the new were supposed to be released in the Spring. They got pushed back until Summer now, and hopefully they won't get pushed back again. I have several refills I need that I couldn't find anywhere.

I always come back to your video when I need to refill. After typing in refill copic marker and Christy gets crafty. But I've hear that there is a way somehow to mark this video of yours can you let me know how to do this Please Christy 😊 I'm 64 & kinda old school, so I'm not aware of all the things that you can do with this. Thank You so much my Sweet Dear Friend. Hope all is well with you and your Amazing Family. You are truly Blessed. Sending Love, Hugs and Blessings to you and your Family and your KZbin Family ❤ Xoxo Vicki from the State of Utah 🍯🐝

Aw, sure! When you are watching the video, there will be a couple symbols at the bottom of the screen. One of them looks like a plus sign. If you click on that, it will add the video to a playlist for you. You can even name the playlist if you want, or I think the default is just called “favorites.” Once you add the video to your playlist, you can access it anytime from the sidebar until your picture, which is on the left, I believe. I hope that helps!💖

I’ve never weighed mine just always eyeballed it. I have a jewelry scale so I’ll start using it. I’m disappointed with what I’ve read about the new refills, smaller but more expensive. Maybe I’m misinformed. I really need to clean my Copics. Hugs, Julie.
@christygetscrafty4 жыл бұрын
From what I heard, the price point is staying the same, but the bottles will only hold about half the amount of ink, which is really upsetting. I hope I've been misinformed and the price point will at least go down to match.

Another nice, clear video about how to deal with our Copic Markers. Thank you, Christy. Along this category, I am wondering if you have ever encountered a marker where the ink comes out with a glossy look to it. "Reds" seem to be the worst offenders for me, but just this weekend I also experienced the shiny, sometimes sticky, look from the dark green family. I most often experience this if I am placing a second coat in an area. I did read somewhere that when that happens, it is an indication that the marker is running low on ink, and needs to be refilled. I did not find that refilling the R29 was the solution, ended up tossing the marker and having to replace it. Just wondering if you have ever come across this problem?
@christygetscrafty4 жыл бұрын
I have had that happen with some of my dark browns. It usually means that my nib is gunked up and needs replaced. It also could be the marker running low on ink, so next time I would try refilling AND replacing the nib and cleaning your caps and see if that helps.
@madelinelittman18634 жыл бұрын
Great video! I’ve refilled my markers numerous times. Didn’t know you could put them on the scale with the chisel nib off. Probably a silly question but why doesn’t the ink run out? 🤔
@christygetscrafty4 жыл бұрын
I think it soaks right in to the core of the barrel? I’m not sure what it’s made of though. Maybe the same foam/type material as the hard end is the super brush nib?
