I am stunned that after watching this guy get bashed with trash cans, slammed onto tables, cut with barbed wire, crushed by 300 pound elephants off the top rope ,etc., while in the ECW, that he's still able to move, much less carry on an in-depth conversation. Thanks for entertaining us over the years, Spike.

I totally agree with Spike when he says that today's wrestling is TOO choreographed and therefore has lost its on the fly, improvisation kayfabe charm....It was the kind of spots and bumps that Spike, and everybody else too, used to do that fascinated me so much and it made Attitude era so great, cause they were done with kayfabe and in a believable manner, i.e. nobody saw those spots coming!!

@T.R.U. Louisianimal Not just that. Everything seems so fake and planned ahead anyway....
@theunhingedgamer3762
@theunhingedgamer3762 4 жыл бұрын
the both of you gotta remember that whole "on the fly" thing is why so many wrestlers got hurt a lot and in rare occasions some have died and the reason it looks "too choreographed" is because people rehearse the spots before the match to avoid someone getting a severe injury look how many people who got retired from a simple piledriver and even now yes people get injured but it's drastically less often as for the whole Kayfabe speech that shit died years ago and Vince Mcmahon was the one who completely killed it because of the infamous Curtain Call incident the only one as far as i know trying to revive it is Tony Khan but the issue with him trying to bring that to life again is the internet knowing who all the guys are friends with so attempting to keep kayfabe alive is pointless

Such a great interview! Spike Dudley is the best! I have to agree and look up to the dude saying his wife told him he’s better than this” I feel the same way about my life. My bm saved me too. Beautiful two kids & a beautiful lady it definitely is time to change and make something happened. Thanks Chris for this Spike Interview

Awesome interview! I wish you would've asked about the angle with Molly Holly lol literally one of the funniest angles in 2001 for WWF

@The Last Dragon: if you haven't, check out Matthew Hyson "formerly known as Spike Dudley" Shoot interview with HighSpots. He speaks a little about the Molly Holly angle. Both great-yet Different interviews.

I'm amazed at how humble "Spike Dudley" is.... And at how the interviewer isn't more star stuck. I'm just sayin' ... He did something no other wrestler has done..... such a small guy.... do WHATEVER you want him to; Great moves (Bulldog/Tornado DDT) GTFOH. BEST FINISHING MOVE EVER!!! I mean WTF???? This mo-fo is a LEGEND! Only ECW used him to his potential.... Nobody else came close, I don't think.... So Humble..... GREAT INTERVIEW... MUCH THANKS to both.

Spike Dudley is a BEAST! Shaking off those bumps that would kill normal humans like "It was nothing. I was fine."
