I have a few, too. Zillions of photos; some with Dan, Juan and PJ. I had dinner with these guys once at Watkins Glen.

The Toyota Eagle was magnificent. Downforce - around 10,000 lbs. at 200mph. 1,100+-horsepower. (The honest figure.) Power came from a highly-boosted, production-based 2.1-litre 4-cylinder engine. (2100cc). 142 psi of boost. 10,000 RPM. 1829 lbs. Dominated the series.

Could this car outperform the Peugeot 905 if put side-by-side with equally skilled platinum drivers?

hmmm, idk but the toyota stats are theoretically much better than the Peugeot in comparison, so yea it can out perfom

It probably depends on the track. The typical US tracks that ISMA raced on at the time required monstrous amounts of downforce for the fastest times. The tracks that FIA raced at like Le Mans, Spa, and Monza are typically low-downforce tracks with aerodynamic balance biased towards the rear. At the tighter tracks, I'd put money on the Eagle to put down faster laps.
