Hi guys! Welcome episode 166 of Learn That Solo! Today we’ll look at the emotive solo from ‘Another Day’ by Dream Theater.

I think if Kenny G could play guitar his solos would sound a lot like this. Apart from this being extremely emotional the concepts for this solo aren’t too ridiculous. Section 4 has some crazy stuff so be patient with that one.

Watching you play this early DT arrangement really drives home what a fabulous player John was at a relatively young age. Not only for technical prowess, but his ability to meld melodic composition with speed rivaling any of the metal shredders.

Pretty radical dude! But to be honest the solo doesn't really reflect the emotion too much to me. I feel like the Luck As A Constant solos are much more emotional. Well I'm biased. Ever since you covered those solos its been my favorite song and I listen to it every day haha. I'm not skilled enough yet to play em but all in due time right! Speaking of which, have you ever heard that song by killswitch engage? Pretty awesome solo in it, maybe you could give a lesson on it? Idk, just tossing ideas around. Popped into my head. All sorts of stuff going on up there. lol! Anyway, peace! :D

Hello chris.. Can you make a lesson on Through her eyes solo from new york live show 2000. I can't find any tutorial of that solo.. And to end the rapture solo by a7x would be great also..
