I really like the subtle things in the chrollo vs. silva and zeno fight. Like when Chrollo was dodging zeno's attacks, silva said he doesn't have an opening, but he activated Ren to fake an attack anyway. With that, he distracted Chrollo for a split second, so that Zeno could grab him.

Chrollo wasn't holding back, but there are 4 conditions must be met before he can successfully steal Zeno's Nen. 1. He must witness the Nen ability in action with his own eyes. 2. He must ask about the ability and be answered by the victim. 3. His victims palm must touch the handprint on the cover of Bandit's Secret. 4. All of the above must be completed within an hour. From all of these above, if we think carefully, he already met 1st and 4th condition automatically (because the fight wasn't took so long). So, he cannot paralyzed Zeno and Silva by the poison, but what he trying until the end is to have a conversation with Zeno, provokes him to speak more in case of Zeno might be too talkative, wanna be showing off and speaking out loud about his Nen. If that happens, what Chrollo has left to do is bring the handprint and force Zeno to touch in a very fast motion, then Zeno will lost his Nen suddenly. But Zeno is too smart, he knew that Nen's condition for something like this could be anything, so he managed to keep his mouth shut and implied that he knew so well that even then, Chrollo still trying to trick him to steal his ability. That's why Zeno said that Chrollo was a cheeky kid, and Chrollo felt a bit sad that he couldn't steal Zeno's ability in the end just because Zeno was outsmarted him completely.

chrollo was holding back in the context of how he was only trying to either immobilize them or capture them, note how chrollo dint go on the offensensive throughout the fight cuz his mail goal was to stall for illumi to kill 10 dons and also try to get their abilities which he failed at. Even zeno says after the fight that chrollo was holding back. So chrollo was not holding back trying to steal their abilities but he was also not trying to kill them.

Episode 51 is an all time great episode of anime it’s got everything you could want and they did such a great job of getting the characters to hold out interest

Kurapika was hired both by Light Nostrade and the Ten Dons. By him to be Neon's bodyguard and by the Ten Dons to be a assassin killing the phantom troupe. That's why he's constantly pulled between both his jobs in this episode. Light Nostrade is not one of the ten Dons, he's a minor mafia boss who's getting bigger thanks to his daughter's fortunes. He suggested that the Ten Dons hire Kurapika though, probably in order to increase his own standing/reputation. I agree that Kurapika isn't quite good enough yet to handle the boss in a fair fight. It was funny watching you get scared for the Zoldycks though, because Zeno has total control over this fight from start to finish xD Sure we don't know what would have happened if Chrollo went into the fight with the intention to kill, but he didn't *and* it's a 2v1 anyway. Chrollo was always the underdog here. Hell he's been careful until now so I bet the only reason he acted so recklessly in that fight is that he had both his contingency plan in Ep 53 and the fortune telling him he wouldn't die that day. "I think the grandad would have been dead anyway" Not quite. See, the ability to survive the blast of big Nen balls like the ones Silva is throwing is contingent on your mastery of enhancement. And remember that when Zeno focused his aura into his hand, Chrollo thought "No way I'm blocking that" which essentially means Zeno has a stronger enhanced aura than Chrollo by a pretty big margin (make sense, Zeno is an emitter and Chrollo a specialist so if they're both close to peak human potential, Zeno should have much better enhancement. Plus Chrollo is only ranked middle of the pack in the troupe's arm wrestling contest so raw physicality isn't his thing). So any damage that could kill Zeno could also kill Chrollo but any damage that could kill Chrollo wouldn't necessarily kill Zeno as Zeno is a more resilient fighter than Chrollo. Chrollo is more about having an unpredictable arsenal of abilities at his disposal than brute strength and resilience, he can't tank hits as well as Zeno.

it's really funny how Cara doesn't want Killua's family to die, like, why lol? it doesn't seem to be a case of rooting for them based on liking them more in particular, but some kind of moral case, but this fight is wholly evil versus evil, a family of paid murderers who tortured their son; Killua, into being a serial murderer, vs. a man who just orchestrated a mass murder of over a thousand men, and many innocents. morally speaking, the best result would be them both killing eachother. though, I don't really root based on morality, so personally, as I think he has the most potential in storytelling, if one side had to die, I would want the Zoldycks to die, as Illumi is the Zoldyck most linked to Killua's future development as we all saw from the Hunter Exam Arc, and Chrollo is instrumental to Kurapika's development, aswell as a very interesting character. what I'm trying to say is, I don't see why Killua would want revenge if the Spiders killed his family, lmao.

Well I think chrollo claps kurapika 10 out of 10 times .Considering he knows uvo has been killed and he already deduced that the chain user is most likely a manipulator or conjurer he would always keep up his gyo to not get trapped by an masked conjurer or manipulator ability thus its really unlikely kurapika could even get his chain jail near chrollo. If kurapika would've fought a 3v1 with the zoldycks its more likely he could entrap chrollo with his powers but in a 1v1 I am like actually 100% sure he doesnt have a chance, kurapika is still a "beginner" at nen and chrollo just outclasses him in every way + he has an arsenal of abilities in his book kurapika has no info on the only way kurapika could ever lay a finger on someone as smart and cautious as chrollo is either through a trap or intense preparation but if he gets chain jail on him its gg ye so actually its "easy" for kurapika when chrollo cant see him coming in any other way its impossible.

@@tadk1312 nope, kurapika can use IN like hisoka using IN with his bungee gum no matter chrollo use gyo or not use it, if he get punch/touch by kurapika he still captured by kurapika chain jail and game over.. chain jail is the most OP skill thats why he only can use it against troupe member, except chrollo capture kurapika first with whatever skill in his bandit secret the only result i can see is chrollo lose to kurapika.. sorry for my very bad english haha

12:23 i belive you are wrong when you said that because remember roughly 80% of his abilities are constructed to solely kill all the phantom troup remembers for his revenge and to get his clans eyes back if kurapika entered the room and did the same things he did with uvogin chrollo wouldn't have been able to stop kurapika thats just my take on that but ive seen other people see it this way as well

Kurapika is not a higher level techically he just really effective vs the troupe because of his nen vow. If you put him against a non member although he is still more intelligent than say Killua or defiently Gon he isnt going to be more powerful in a nen battle.
