I love Goreinu's character I realized not long ago that he has so much potential I would love a side story with him (like many other HxH side characters Togashi makes them so interesting even when they don't have much 'screen time') Tsezugerra is more a strategist than a fighter to be fair and Razor is ridiculously strong! he's playing dodgeball with 14 nen beasts while handling all of the emitters spells on the island at the same time...the amount of aura he can use is crazy

Actually ging is worse than you think. He made the game to teach and trap his son. If gon never had biske to teach him he wouldn’t be able to get a leave card to get out of the game the same fate for people that have a nen ability that isn’t for fighting. 😂

30:13 of course it's indeed bad parenting, but I don't think it's as simple as "he wants him dead". rather, "If Gon can't survive multiple fights to the death, then he's weak. someone weak doesn't deserve to be my son.", that's likely how Ging feels. the analogue is likely that Ging is supposed to represent what the average Shounen protagonist will be like when they grow up; he wants his son to grow up the same way he did. basically, in this way, you could call Ging a more realistic version of Son from Dragon Ball. knowing all this is probably why Mito adopted Gon and told him that his dad died in a car crash before he was born.

I don't think Ging is as harsh as a Yujiro type of "someone weak doesn't deserve to be my son", But I think it's more that "Gon can handle it BECAUSE he's my son" Like he has so much faith in Gon despite having never met him, he trusts that Gon can handle it.
