Cleaning The Interior Of Our R129 Mercedes - Dialed In Classic!

In this video we tackle the interior of our R129 Mercedes 300SL. It wasn't super filthy but it definitely needed some dealing in, so that's just what we did. Every surface got a thorough cleaning, top to bottom, everything was finished in one of my favourite UV protectants and left to absorb into the nearly 30 year old interior. The cars interior now feels, smells, and looks fresh and nourished. Thank you all for checking out the video. Big hugs.

You can Buy also soft drillbrush! It works perfectly.

@@Lars-qp7ys softer bristles do not completely fix the problem. Drill brushes have a lot of torque and speed and it can be too much for old and delicate materials. It is quite a beating for carpets, seats and plastics almost 30 years old.

Thanks man! Yeah I don’t like it that shiny either! But everytime I get a car of this age I really load it on and let it absorb. The car won’t be driven for a couple of months because of winter. I’ll resolve it in April and most likely apply 3D LVP to the seats 😚

I love watching the detail vids. And when my eyes aren’t glued to the screen, it feels like I’m listening to my chill playlists. I would love to see your try Mr clean magic erasers, along with a diluted interior cleaner in hot water, as long as you are gentle, it will break down and wipe away the trapped dirt and leave the surface cleaned. Oh! And #00-#0000 steel wool to polish the windows. Love watching the vids and your methods/process!

On another note, do you plan to make a video detailing how to deal with the cracking wood veneer plastics? May I ask why you used your extractor on only the car mats and not other parts of the interior as well? That’s not a critical remark, just looking to understand why the steamer vs the extractor.
