My brother got a pair of Chrome Hearts Converse from an repossession auction. He got them for $70 I don’t think the estimators realised what the brand Chrome Hearts is and priced it at the price of regular converse Chuck 70. Nobody else was interested in them. What a steal for him I’m so jealous

They make good jewelry, I enjoy their jewelry. Also, if anyone started to not wear a brand because of their hype, they are just as bad as the impressionable hypebeasts. If you stopped liking something because it got corny, then that’s fine. But, if you genuinely hate a brand because of its mainline popularity, that’s just as bad as buying a brand that is hyped.

When you start seeing it worn a lot, its not providing that freshness to life. Doesn't mean the brand isn't good objectively it can be amazing construction and design. But it ain't stimulating to the eyes and mind.

What you’re doing when you don’t want to wear a brand that is now too popular, is essentially the same thing as wearing a brand for its, “hype”. You are willing to drop a brand because it’s not too popular, because you want don’t want to be a part of the crowd, but end up in a different crowd of people doing the same thing.

I know two people (personally) who did wood and silver work for Chrome in L.A. who just quite becuase not were they over worked abd underpaid, but there's no upward mobility for anyone who isn't a sales associate and even that is rare.
